Choosing a total of 15 players to make up the first, second, and third teams was no easy task. Our staff deliberated for a significant amount of time before finally coming up with the names below. FIRST TEAM
G – Ryan Conway Ryan Conway 6'0" | PG Dulaney | 2021 State #111 Nation MD | Dulaney
Giacubeno– Conway put on another scoring clinic this season headlined by his 55-point outing in just three quarters against Hereford. Conway battled a foot injury to end the year, but there’s no denying how critical his presence was to this Dulaney team as he made all systems go not only for himself offensively but also for others.
G – Jordan Hawkins Jordan Hawkins 6'5" | SF DeMatha | 2021 State #41 Nation MD | DeMatha
Wilson – Hawkins was regarded as one of the biggest impact transfers in the DMV this year. Hawkins was always a threat from behind the three-point line and showed some encouraging signs on the defensive end. Hawkins played a huge part in DeMathas success this year.

Ayalew – Robinson continued to quietly produce for a sneaky-good NCA team and move up in the national rankings. By this time next year, he could emerge into a blue-chip recruit.

| St. Andrew’s – Player of the Year*
Ayalew – This was truly a breakthrough season for Williams, culminating in a dominant all-around performance in his team’s MAC Championship victory. What’s scary is that he’s still just scratching the surface.
C – Julian Reese Julian Reese 6'8" | C St. Frances | 2021 State #109 Nation MD | St. Frances Academy
Giacubeno- It didn’t take long for Reese to make an impact for his new St. Frances squad, especially on the defensive end. The 6-foot-10 forward won BCL Defensive Player of the Year thanks to his elite shot-blocking ability. Reese was also a scoring presence around the rim playing off guard’s penetration.

SECOND TEAM
G – Mike Aiken | Thurgood Marshall
Ayalew – Aiken continued to move the needle and is finally earning some respect as one of the best guards in the area. He is the unquestioned leader for a tough TMA squad and knows how to get the best out of his teammates.
G – Bez Mbeng Bez Mbeng 6'3" | CG Good Counsel | 2021 State #190 Nation MD | Good Counsel
Wilson – Bez missed a good portion of the year because of injury but made a big enough impact during the games he played to be rewarded 1st team WCAC. Mbeng led Good Counsell to one of their best teams in years by finishing top 5 in the WCAC.
G – Erik Reynolds Erik Reynolds 6'2" | CG Bullis | 2021 State #197 Nation MD | Bullis
Erik is regarded as one of the quickest guards in the area and took his game to another level this year. Colleges took notice throughout the season as his recruitment picked up.

Giacubeno- As a result of an injury-riddled roster Billups saw a dramatic increase in his role and responsibilities for McDonogh. The 6-foot-5 wing showcased his versatility on both ends scoring in a multitude of ways and guarding multiple positions defensively. Billups was also a huge presence on the glass.
F – Zaakir Williamson Zaakir Williamson 6'7" | PF Rock Creek Christian | 2021 PA | Rock Creek Christian
Ayalew – Williamson was an authoritative paint presence for a dangerous Rock Creek squad. His versatility helped unlock the full potential of his team.

Ayalew – Cornish acclimated quickly to the MAC, earning all-league honors while carrying a huge offensive burden for his team. He is growing into a tremendous leader and is still improving each time he hits the floor.
G – Elijah Hawkins Elijah Hawkins 5'9" | PG DeMatha | 2021 State MD | DeMatha
Wilson – Elijah was the floor general for the number one team in the area and is in the conversation as to who the best on the ball defender is in the DMV.
G – Jao Ituka Jao Ituka 6'2" | SG Gaithersburg | 2021 MD | Gaithersburg
Ayalew – Ituka shouldered a massive load once again this season, averaging over 26 points and 10 rebounds per game, and his team remained competitive as a result. He continues to put in work and it’s clear that his hunger to become a great player has motivated him.
F – Daouda Dembele Daouda Dembele 6'6" | C Springbrook | 2021 PA | Springbrook
Ayalew – Dembele’s dominance in the paint was the main reason why Springbrook fulfilled its potential this season. The Blue Devils will remain a 4A contender with him patrolling the paint next season.
C – Bobby Hill Bobby Hill 6'5" | PF Reservoir | 2021 State MD | Reservoir
Ayalew – Hill enjoyed a breakout season in his first year at Reservoir. The DeMatha transfer grew into a leader and productive two-way player for the sneaky-good Gators.
