In the coming weeks, we at PrepHoops Indiana plan on bringing you the best coverage in the state during this fun time. Let us take a look at some of the top prospects from Friday’s Floyd Central vs Jeffersonvile game, which makes up part of the Seymour Sectional.
Jeffersonville:
Tre Coleman Tre Coleman 6'6" | SF Jeffersonville | 2020 State #191 Nation IN – 6’6 2020 SF: Coleman put up a solid performance. Had nice 15ft jumper and a couple rebounds on the night. One of his best plays was a transition bucket where he took it the full length of the court. This athletic SF should have a solid career at the next level.
Jacob Jones Jacob Jones 5'8" | PG Jeffersonville | 2020 State IN – 5’8 2020 PG: Rather quiet night for this shifty PG. Had a couple rebounds and few buckets when he drove it to the rim. The best part of his game is that he is so quick. Defenders should have trouble with him college.
Darin Starks Darin Starks 5'10" | PG Jeffersonville | 2020 State IN – 5’10 2020 PG: Starks had kind of an off shooting night with only one catch-and-3. Also had a pretty sweet bucket in transition. If Starks would have connected on a few more shots, Jeff might have had a better chance at this one. Hanover is getting a solid player in Starks.
Floyd Central:
Grant Gohmann Grant Gohmann 6'6" | PF Floyd Central | 2020 State IN – 6’6 2020 PF: I think Gohmann was my favorite player during this game. Dude just fights and fights down low and that is what I love in a big man. He can also shoot it from deep when given a look. Add in a lot of rebounds and post-hooks, Gohmann might have been the player of the game.
Jake Heidbreder Jake Heidbreder 6'3" | SG Floyd Central | 2021 State IN – 6’3 2021 SG: This SG is a fantastic player. Real long and uses it to his advantage on his jumper. Had a nice catch-and-3 that looked smooth. Add in a few rebounds and some other made buckets, Heidbreder had a great game.
Caleb Washington Caleb Washington 6'5" | PF Floyd Central | 2023 State IN – 6’4 2023 SF: Simply put, Washington is going to be a stud for years to come. So smart as a freshman with his passing and shot selection. One area he will improve on for sure is his outside shot as he has a pretty jumper. Keep an eye on this stud for next few years.
Seth Burks – 6’1 2020 SG: Burks was one of the more underrated players on the court. Real aggressive and a great defender. Made a lot of hustle plays and had a sweet block. Real good leader and does what he is supposed to on offense. Every team needs a player like Burks.
