There were a lot of juniors that had great seasons and great accomplishments. We will look at the finalists for the Most Outstanding Player in the junior class in 2019-2020, and choose 1 recipient of the honor. This was a loaded and deep field with any number of deserving finalists and award winners.

FINALISTS
Jaden Akins Jaden Akins 6'3" | PG Ypsi Prep | 2021 #87 Nation KS (CG, Farmington)
Akins is an ultimate playmaker and shot creator.
Kobe Bufkin Kobe Bufkin 6'4" | SG Grand Rapids Christian | 2021 State #71 Nation MI (CG, Grand Rapids Christian)
Bufkin is a silky smooth lefty that had his way with defenders this season.
Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'5" | SG Ann Arbor Huron | 2021 State MI (SG, Ann Arbor Huron)
Lewis is a true 2 way player that can carry a team on both ends.
Blake Lund Blake Lund 6'1" | CG Linden | 2021 State MI (CG, Linden)
Lund has been the centerpiece of a team that put Linden on the basketball map this season.
Brody Parker Brody Parker 6'0" | CG Troy | 2021 State MI (SG, Troy)
Parker was a lethal 3 point shooter this season. Along with Ethan Emerzian Ethan Emerzian 6'0" | PG Troy | 2021 State MI , they created 1 of the top backcourts in Michigan.
Julian Roper Julian Roper 6'4" | PG St. Mary's Prep | 2021 State #137 Nation MI (CG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Roper is a leader and playmaker for a team ranked in the top 100 nationally.
Foster Wonders Foster Wonders 6'5" | SF Iron Mountain | 2021 State MI (SF, Iron Mountain)
Wonders can do it all, and his stats and his team’s record backs it up.
Omar Ziegler Omar Ziegler 6'5" | CG Detroit King | 2021 State MI (CG, Detroit King)
Ziegler has been underrated for far too long. He was half of an elite backcourt that was making a run at a state championship.
MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER
For the junior class, I’ve decided that I had to go with a Co Most Outstanding Player.
Pierre Brooks Pierre Brooks 6'5" | SG Detroit Douglass | 2021 State #76 Nation MI Jr. (G/F, Detroit Frederick Douglass)
Brooks is a perfect example of how far an exceptional basketball IQ can carry a player and team. He’s so intelligent, and therefore efficient, on the basketball court. Brooks is a 3 level scorer with good shot selection. He’s a great passer as well, both swinging the ball on the perimeter and his ability to make an entry pass to the post. Brooks led his team to a top 10 ranking all season long and had them primed to make a state championship run.
Legend Geeter Legend Geeter 6'7" | PF River Rouge | 2021 State MI (F, River Rouge)
Geeter is the ultimate team player, giving of himself in order to make his team better. He is willing to accept any challenge on the basketball court, whether it be defending the opponents top offensive threat or picking up a big bucket for his team. Geeter is as versatile as they come. Defensively, he can guard on both the post and the perimeter. On the other end, he makes himself a threat to score from anywhere on the court. Geeter had his River Rouge squad ranked at the top of the state and a favorite in many eyes to win a state title.
