DeVries to take weekend visit
Waukee 2021 guard/wing Tucker DeVries Tucker DeVries 6'7" | SF Waukee | 2021 State #123 Nation IA will visit Creighton this weekend, per Brian Snow of 247Sports.
DeVries, the son of Drake head coach Darian DeVries, grew up around the Creighton program as his father was an assistant there for a number of years.
DeVries told Prep Hoops Iowa earlier this year that he’s open to hearing from more schools, but he also noted that things will likely come down to Drake and Creighton.
Iowa, Texas, and a few other schools have inquired about DeVries.
Dix visits Creighton
Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 2022 guard Josh Dix Josh Dix 6'5" | SG Council Bluffs Lincoln | 2022 State #149 Nation IA took an unofficial visit to Creighton on Wednesday for the Bluejays contest with Georgetown.
Dix has an offer from South Dakota State, and is receiving interest from a slew of other mid/high-major programs.
Dix is a multidimensional guard that does a little bit of everything well. He was the top scorer for Lincoln this year as a sophomore and is expected to see his stock pick up this summer on the AAU trail.
Landon Wolf Landon Wolf 6'5" | CG Cedar Falls | 2021 State IA picking up more interest
The Cedar Falls junior guard is one of the most underrated players in the state.
Wolf is listed at 6-foot-3, and has great length for his position. He’s a steady ballhandler that can create and also knock down shots at an efficient rate.
He’s one of the top guards in the state, and should be a top-10 in-state prospect when the new Prep Hoops rankings come out.
Per his AAU coach, Wolf is receiving interest from the likes of Nebraska-Omaha, UMKC, Augustana (Transitioning D1), North Dakota, Emporia State, and Quincy.
He’ll pick up more traction this summer.
Kutcher recaps UMKC visit
Mount Vernon 2021 combo guard Keaton Kutcher Keaton Kutcher 6'2" | SG Mount Vernon | 2021 State IA took an unofficial visit to UMKC last month, and things went well.
Kutcher has an offer from Western Illinois, and interest from Belmont, who is expected to evaluate this summer.
Central Michigan has recently reached out to Kutcher as well. Kutcher told Prep Hoops Iowa that he’s planning on taking a visit to Illinois State after the high school season.
Kutcher and the ’Stangs will face Clear Creek Amana in the first round of the 3A State Tournament next week.
Reid Grant Reid Grant 6'1" | PG Johnston | 2021 State IA to see interest pick up
The Johnston junior guard currently has an offer from Wayne State, but is likely going to get more offers on the AAU Circuit this summer with Kingdom Hoops.
Per his AAU coach, Grant is receiving interest from D2’s such as Northwest Missouri and Winona State. Grant is a 6-foot-3 combo guard that is tough on both ends of the floor.
Grant plays bigger than his size and is a coach’s dream. He’s not the most athletic player, but he has a high basketball IQ and can knock down shots when need be. Grant’s toughness and consistent stands out. He’s often tasked with guarding the other team’s best player, and he responds.
