A big-time tight end with SEC interest, the state got to see what Fredrick Seabrough Fredrick Seabrough 6'4" | PF Swainsboro | 2021 State GA can do on the hardwood as he powered Swainsboro to their first title since 1996. Seabrough is a special blend of strength, athleticism and skill. He is a bruiser on the backboard and in the paint but he also has the touch to knock down threes and enough skill to beat his man off the dribble. Seabrough plays with a level head as well. He rarely shows any emotion and is on a mission when on the court. He had 18 points and 8 rebounds.
2021 6-1 G Derrick Jones – Swainsboro
Great effort and energy are what Derrick Jones offers on both ends of the floor. Defensively, Jones is a talented shot blocker that plays bigger than his size. He fights for 50/50 balls and can be seen flying all over the floor. Jones struggled from the field going 1-8 but went 7-10 from the line in the fourth quarter to ice the win.

Ra’Sean Frederick Ra’Sean Frederick 6'4" | SF Therrell | 2020 State GA has improved his three-point shot, making him one of the best available wings in Georgia. Known for his physicality and ability to get downhill, the southpaw showed off his range early on hitting two threes. Frederick has a nice low post game as well and is strong enough to shield off defenders when calling for lobs. He finished with 23 points and 9 rebounds before fouling out.
2020 5-11 SG Calvin Miller – Therrell
Therrell needed someone to step up in the title game. Last year it was Zyquon Morton and this year it was Calvin Miller and although the final score results weren’t the same, it was a standout performance in his final game. Miller carried the Panthers during a stretch in the second half. The floor spacer hit two threes but did much of his damage off the dribble, getting to his sweet spots and hitting the mid-range. Miller poured in 16 points and dished out 3 assists.
2021 6-6 PF Cole Middleton Cole Middleton 6'6" | PF Pace Academy | 2021 State GA – Pace Academy
In a low-scoring, grind-it-out game, Cole Middleton Cole Middleton 6'6" | PF Pace Academy | 2021 State GA helped Pace Academy to their third title in school history. Coming off a wasted sophomore campaign due to injuries, Middleton atoned for his lost time with a strong junior season which he capped with a championship. With Pace struggling to score in the first half, Middleton kept the Knights afloat with 8 of his team’s 13 first half points. He would finish with a game-high 15 points and 4 rebounds. Middleton finished strong around the rim and played a big role in shutting down Navy-signee Jacob Radaker Jacob Radaker 6'8" | PF Jefferson | 2020 State GA , holding the 6-foot-8 post to five points.
2020 6-0 G George Adams – Pace Academy
Look no further than George Adams to find the X-Factor in Pace Academy’s championship. The senior guard that averaged 3.7 points on the season entered in the third quarter and flipped the game upside down. He hit an And-1 three to give Pace their first lead of the game before hitting a jumper and another three to cap a personal 9-0 run. Adams finished Pace Academy’s game-changing flurry with an assist to Cole Middleton Cole Middleton 6'6" | PF Pace Academy | 2021 State GA , ending an 11-0 spurt. Adams has long been a cerebral player with a nice touch. He hasn’t ever logged big minutes but that has never stopped him from being an impactful and influential role player. It was fitting that it was Adams who made the biggest plays down the stretch to complete Pace Academy’s championship season.
2022 6-3 W Malaki Starks – Jefferson
The multi-sport star gave Jefferson an elite athlete to match up with Matthew Cleveland Matthew Cleveland 6'7" | SF Pace Academy | 2021 State #13 Nation GA and help hold him to 10 points. Starks was all over the floor. He rebounded and defended well while also scoring in spots. Starks’ effort gave Jefferson confidence early on. He is a sneaky good playmaker and has quality footwork when getting to the basket. Only a sophomore, if Starks continues to pursue basketball even though his collegiate career will take him to the gridiron, he will be one of North Georgia’s most versatile players. He finished his night with 8 points and 7 rebounds.
2020 6-2 W Owen Parker – Jefferson
Owen Parker finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Parker always finds himself at the right place at the right time. He plays hard and can be found swooping in for offensive rebounds and diving for loose balls. Parker is crafty getting the to the basket and adjusts well in mid-air to avoid shot blockers. Parker an all-around valuable piece that could help out in college at the right level.
