Here is a look into what the PrepHoops end of season rankings could look like.
#1. Colby Jones Colby Jones 6'4" | SG Mountain Brook | 2020 State #122 Nation AL , 6’5 SG, Mountain Brook: After falling 2 points short of leading the Spartans to a 4th consecutive championship Jones showed why he is considered the best player in the state in the class of 2020. Averaging over 20 points and 11 rebounds on the season, it’s safe to say the 7A player of the year will likely hold down his #1 spot.
#2. Antwan Burnett Antwan Burnett 6'5" | SG Sindey Lanier | 2020 State #179 Nation AL , 6’5 SG, Sidney Lanier: After missing half of his senior year due to a previous transfer and return “AB” was still able to lead his Poets squad to a 3rd straight Regional Final. Averaging almost 25 points and 13 rebounds a game at times he looked like a man amongst boys on the floor. Still undecided on his college choice look for him to make an immediate impact wherever he chooses to play his college ball.
#3. Austin Harvell Austin Harvell 6'6" | SF East Limestone | 2020 State #388 Nation AL , 6’6 SF, East Limestone: Hard to deny just how good of High School player Austin was. His size and motor set him apart from most on the court. The recent Tennessee Tech signee showed consistently throughout the season he was a Division 1 talent and most likely will jump into the top 5 in the next rankings released.
#4. Jalen Myers Jalen Myers 6'7" | SF Bob Jones | 2020 State #348 Nation AL , 6’7 SF, Bob Jones: The versatile wing player had his full arsenal on display in his senior season. With several 20/20 games with points and rebounds, this season this unsigned senior is going to be a late steal for whoever is able to ink his name on the dotted line. It’s possible he could move up a slot or two but its safe to say he will definitely be in the top 4.
#5. Kameron Woods Kameron Woods 5'11" | PG Pinson Valley | 2020 State AL , 5’11 PG, Pinson Valley: After the season and career he had we would be hard-pressed to leave him out of the top 5. The numbers he put up on the 6A level this season was one to remember. With multiple 50 and 40 point games say what you want about his size or ability to defend he can flat out get it done on the basketball court. Yet to make his college decision look for him to be flaming nets at a D1 very soon.
