DFW’s class of ’22 has every type of athlete a coach could possibly need, from true low post big men to 3 point specialist, to scoring machines. So many sophomores played so well this season that I couldn’t narrow it down to just five.
Arterio Morris Arterio Morris 6'4" | PG Dallas Kimball | 2022 State #16 Nation TX – Point Guard – Kimball HS:
Arterio is the breakout star of the year, he was even awarded Dallas’s Newcomer of the Year award. This guy is the whole package, he averaged 22.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 3.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game this season, and made it look easy doing it. Morris didn’t just fill the stat sheet, everything he brought to the table made his teammates better. He has a knack for crashing the boards and getting the fastbreak started and even finishing it. Arterio Morris Arterio Morris 6'4" | PG Dallas Kimball | 2022 State #16 Nation TX is a smooth flashy high IQ unselfish player that plays with very high confidence and no fear. Keyonte George Keyonte George 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2022 State #4 Nation FL – Shooting Guard – Lewisville HS:
This NBA bound shooting guard is the top-ranked player of his class, for several reasons. He earned the 6A All-District MVP as a sophomore, which is unheard of. George is a certified bucket getter that scores at an unbelievable rate. This season he scored over 750 points, had multiple 30 point games, and has already allocated more than 1,500 points through the first couple of years of his high school career. When it comes to scoring there is nothing he can’t do. He’s a lethal shooter from deep, will break you down and finish at the rim whether it be a dunk or a layup, and consistently get to his spots at will. His offensive skillset is often compared to NBA players such as, D’Angelo Russell or James Harden. After leading the city of Dallas in scoring this year, no one will be surprised if Keyonte George Keyonte George 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2022 State #4 Nation FL averages 30 points a game next season.

6’10 240 pounds with big hands and an enormous body frame. Lee is a very big guy that played even bigger this season, he averaged 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. He’s a very coordinated post player, with good bounce, mobility, timing, reach, and seems to play light on his feet. Dort had a crazy game this season where he had 45 points, 17 rebounds, and 8 blocks. Dort ended the season as the fourth-leading rebounder in the country and the leading rebounder of Texas. He gets in good position and gives great effort when going for the boards, which results in putback dunks. Lee scores in the paint in a multitude of ways, and will try to slam on anyone attempting to stop him. Cason Wallace Cason Wallace 6'4" | CG Richardson | 2022 State #6 Nation TX – Guard – Richardson HS:
Wallace is the most intriguing prospect in the class. All-around guard with instinctive scoring ability and a tough on-ball defensive presence. Has handles that keep the defenders off balance and sliding all over the floor. Cason is the player that will fill up a stat sheet on any given night, and he’s also the player that’s willing to do the little things to win; hustle for loose balls, get physical for rebounds. He’s one of the top passers in the city averaging a little over 5 assists per game. Wallace is also a lockdown defender that gives great effort and can consistently make his opponent a non-factor. Cason Wallace Cason Wallace 6'4" | CG Richardson | 2022 State #6 Nation TX is a flat out playmaker offensively and defensively. We saw major improvements from his freshman season, even led his team to a deep playoff run. His potential is high and his stock will continue to rise.
Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX – Small Forward – Coppell HS:
Many call him the best shooter in all of Texas. Ryan had a very efficient season shooting the ball. He’s a high-level shooter with great balance on his jump shots. He can hit any shot; open set shots, coming off screens, stepback jumper, turnaround jumper, catch-and-shoot jumper, and a nice pull-up jumper. This 6’6 sharpshooter racked up more than 500 points while leading his team in scoring with 16 points per game and shooting over 50% from the field and over 44% from 3 point range. When in a zone defense, Agarwal did a good job of using his length to get steals. He also used his length well offensively to get around smaller defenders and finish. Ryan Agarwal Ryan Agarwal 6'7" | SF Coppell | 2022 State #99 Nation TX is a high-quality shooter, if he is not the best shooter in the state right now then he will be by his senior year.
Jordan Walsh Jordan Walsh 6'7" | SF Link Academy | 2022 #31 Nation MO – Small Forward – Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy:
6’6 Walsh is the most well-polished athlete on this list. He’s everything a coach could ask for in a player on and off the court. There’s nothing on the court he can’t do and there’s no position that he can’t play or guard. He has no quit in him at all, he is relentless on both ends of the court from start to finish; he was even awarded the All-District Defensive MVP. Jordan has next level handles with quick moves, especially his spin move. He has outstanding footwork that he uses well to his advantage.
