Riek Riek Riek Riek 6'8" | C Rochester Mayo | 2020 State MN (6’8 2020 C, Rochester Mayo)- Riek Riek Riek Riek 6'8" | C Rochester Mayo | 2020 State MN came out of nowhere this season, impressing at a fall league event before becoming a solid contributor for Mayo. Riek has plenty of length, is comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter, and has some solid footwork on the block. Riek excelled at finding openings in the lane to receive dump off passes and finish, pulling in rebounds with authority, and floating outside to knock down jumpers. He finished the season averaging 5.4 points and 4.6 rebounds, earning honorable mention all-area and debuting in our 2020 rankings at 117.
Henry Abraham Henry Abraham 5'11" | PG Cambridge | 2020 State MN (5’11 2020 G, Cambridge-Isanti)- Henry had one of the best seasons at the AAAA level in recent history, and saw a handful of D2 offers come his way for it. An agile guard who has an extremely quick release with deep range, Henry averaged 33.6 ppg, eclipsing the 40 point mark seven times on the year. Henry is more than just a scorer though, having averaged 7 assists per game as well. Henry looks poised to excel at any college in need of a knock down shooter.
Jordan Jones Jordan Jones 5'10" | PG Columbia Heights | 2020 State MN (5’10 2020 G, Columbia Heights)- Jordan Jones Jordan Jones 5'10" | PG Columbia Heights | 2020 State MN proved to be one of the most electric scorers in the metro this past season, earning player of the year in the Tri-Metro Conference after averaging 23.3 ppg and putting up efficient shooting percentages. Though undersized, Jordan is an extremely shifty ball handler who changes pace extremely well to get by his defender. Jordan can stretch the floor with his deep range, or get into the lane and utilize a floater to score over size. Jordan saw his stock rise tremendously as a senior, now ranked 113 in our 2020 class rankings, and recently earning an offer from Northern Iowa Area CC.
Puoch Dobuol Puoch Dobuol 6'7" | PF St. Cloud Apollo | 2020 State MN (6’7 2020 W/F, St. Cloud Apollo)- There aren’t many prospects in the state more intriguing than Puoch Dobuol Puoch Dobuol 6'7" | PF St. Cloud Apollo | 2020 State MN . The 6’7 wing-forward has some of the longest arms you’ll find, using them to contest shots, finish above the rim with ease, and poke balls free on the perimeter. Dobuol is a consistent shooter from outside, can handle the ball in transition like a guard, creates his own looks off the dribble, and is a highlight waiting to happen when he gets to the rim. Now ranked 37th in the 2020 class, Puoch averaged 13.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, and has added a handful of junior college offers over the past week.
Lovell Williams Lovell Williams 6'2" | PG Maple Grove | 2020 State MN (6’1 2020 PG, Maple Grove)- Patiently awaiting his time playing behind a talented point guard in Jared Rainey last season, this year was Lovell’s turn to run the show for an always competitive Maple Grove program. Lovell took full advantage of it, staking his claim as one of the 2020 class’ elite floor generals by averaging 16 points, 4.5 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 3 steals per game. Lovell can knock down threes with ease, changes his pace very well, and is a crafty finisher around the rim. Defensively he can guard either guard spot, has good hands to come up with steals in bunches, and does a great job of contesting jumpers. Now ranked 50th in our latest 2020 rankings updates.
Daniel Rosenber Daniel Rosenber 6'4" | SF Burnsville | 2020 State MN (6’4 2020 W, Burnsville)- A long and lanky wing prospect, Daniel was putting up strong offensive numbers all season long for Burnsville. Rosenber showed off an exceptional jumper pulling up off the dribble, knocking them down at mid-range or beyond the arc. His elevation on his jumper makes it hard to defend, and that explosiveness translates to around the rim where he can throw down transition dunks. Defensively his combination of long arms and mobility make him capable of guarding multiple positions. After averaging 17.5 ppg, Daniel is now ranked 103 in our latest 2020 rankings with a high ceiling moving forward.
Shaheed Muhammad Shaheed Muhammad 5'11" | PG North St. Paul | 2020 State MN (5’11 2020 G, North St. Paul)- I expected Shaheed to have a strong senior year, but his 37 point performance against Minnehaha Academy showed just how good he can be. Arguably the most dominant player in the always strong Metro East Conference, Shaheed finished the year averaging 18.6 ppg, dazzling fans with his crafty handles, deep shooting range, and ability to carve up defenses to get to any spot on the floor. Shaheed can create his own shot off the dribble, or play off the ball and spot up for threes. His stock rose drastically as a college prospect, and now comes in at 68 in our newly updated 2020 rankings.
