The Kansas High School Activities Association announced on Thursday the remaining state tournament games will not be played.
Zachary Bloch, 6’0, G, 2021, Bishop Seabury
An impressive summer standout who continues to showcase a playmakers ability to facilitate and create opportunities for himself. He led his team on the defensive end, looking to tip away passes and get out in transition. Bloch shows a high ceiling as a performer and his activity on defense always seems to lead to open looks on offense. He can connect from three-point range and has a live handle and a long stride. He finished the game with 27 points and shot a high percentage both inside and out.
Harlan Obioha Harlan Obioha 7'0" | C Hoxie | 2021 State KS , 6’11, F, 2021, Hoxie
A standout player for Hoxie who brings a nice combination of size and touch to the floor. A player who can score, rebound, facilitate and block shots. He led all scoring with 21 points in the loss to Garden Plain and showed a lot of hustle and effort inside. He is difficult to slow down when he has the ball down low and can rebound and make plays at the rim at a high level. A physical player who stays on his mark.
Matthew Pauly, 5’9, G, 2020, Garden Plain
Pauly is a nice guard who has speed in the ability to score in bunches. He is listed at 5’9 and can handle the ball, create with his dribble and facilitates as well. He looks to score quickly and whenever he has an open space and is confident and has good leadership. He led his team in scoring with 13 points.
Matthew Vail, 6’2, G/F, 2020, Erie
A tough and competitive senior combo player who is asked to play big and give it all he has. Vail shows good strength and conditioning and understanding for his position and make smart plays when he has the ball. He’s a seasoned player with a high IQ and provides great leadership and a touch with the ball. Vail scored 15 points in the lost to Sterling but was as productive as always on both ends of the floor.
Tyus Wilson, 6’5, F, 2021, Sterling
A nice athlete for plays at the rim who can get up and overpower a defense in transition. Wilson is a two-way threat who can protect the basket at a high level and score in bunches. He has great speed and good control and shows flexibility in an in and out offense. Wilson led all players in scoring with 27 points in their win over Erie and was virtually unstoppable at times. Wilson also had nine rebounds and an impressive 11 blocks.
