Key strength: Fast-paced scorer
Dylan Andrews Dylan Andrews 6'3" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2022 State #23 Nation AZ is one of the top rising guards in the 2022 class.
Andrews is a 6’3” point guard who excelled this past season on both sides of the floor.
On offense, the Windward talent is a high energy guard who can run an offense on his own. He is someone who can dribble out the shot clock and still find a way to get off a high percentage shot in the paint. He is also elusive both on and off the ball. In possessions where he is the primary ball-handler, Andrews uses his quick handles to veer and penetrate inside, which was on display in performances such as his 21-point showing against Hillcrest. But off the ball, Andrews is constantly navigating his way into open space and providing passing lanes for teammates.
On defense, Andrews plays with the same high energy mentality that he does on offense. This translates over to being an active defender with an eye on creating turnovers.
Like teammate Kijani Wright Kijani Wright 6'8" | PF Sierra Canyon | 2022 State #63 Nation CA-S , Andrews is certainly a talent to watch for in the Los Angeles area.

Key strength: Creative passer
Christian Watson Christian Watson 6'4" | PG Long Beach Poly | 2022 State CA-S , the younger brother of five-star prospect Peyton, had himself a strong season of his own for Long Beach Poly.
Watson continued to develop as an efficient passer. In possessions where he occupied the point guard role, Watson was tasked with bringing the ball up the court with an eye on facilitating the team’s flow on offense. He was clinical in this area due to his willingness to be unselfish on the ball. He has the knack to be creative on the ball as well, such as in sequences where he is weaving his way to the paint to dish off a pass to a teammate down low. He is poised when running the offense and has good enough handles to take care of the ball when under pressure.
Watson is also a capable double-digit scorer. His offensive game stems from driving to the rim and finishing at the basket after initiating contact. He can be explosive in this area of play, which centers around exploiting open space in the paint. The 6’2” guard does well in fast-break possessions, whether it is distributing up the court or finishing the sequence by himself at the basket.
Even though he is a pass-first guard, look for Watson to exhibit substantial improvements next season as an outside shooter, which could elevate Long Beach Poly’s already strong offensive unit.

— Crossroads
Key strength: Efficient paint scorer
Brendan Terry Brendan Terry 6'6" | PF Crossroads | 2021 State CA-S is an athletic forward with good size and length at 6’7”. He relies on scoring in the post, where it has become a habit for him to frustrate opponents in that area of the floor. As mentioned, Terry has good size and frame, which he uses to his advantage to veer his way to the basket. He can bully his way towards the basket thanks to his strength and length against his defender in the post. He is also a talent capable of providing a highlight-filled dunk or an emphatic finish at the basket from a fast-break sequence. In short, his style of play on offense complements Crossroads extremely well.
If he can continue to work on polishing his mid-range and outside shooting, he will certainly have a strong senior year.
Terry is also a vast contributor on defense, which is given considering his size. Of course, he has the length to block shots or contest opponent them in the paint. But his quick mobility also allows him to move out of the paint and establish his presence as a defender from all over the floor.

Key strength: Versatile on offense
It can be difficult for players like Christian Moore Christian Moore 6'5" | SF Brentwood | 2022 CA-S to stand out in the Gold Coast League. The league is filled with future Division 1 college talents, especially from both Sierra Canyon and Windward. But to Moore’s credit, he had a tremendous sophomore year and stood out thanks to his quality play.
Moore is a talent that can do it all on offense. He can score at an efficient 20+ points per game rate. At 6’5”, his size and length open up a number of possibilities for how he can attack when on the ball, which he has made it a strength of his. The guard can attack the basket and rely on several go-to moves to get to the rim, including a crafty spin move which he often goes to.
The guard is also a keen playmaker. He has good vision on the floor to supply teammates with shot-creating passes. His quick instincts on the ball supplement his stout passing range extremely well. And thanks to his high energy and effort on this side of the floor, Moore is also capable of willing his way to haul in offensive rebounds.
Look for Moore to continue to establish his status as a potential future Division 1 college talent.
