Demetrius Williams 6’1 SG Liberty 2021 – Good perimeter defender for a quality Liberty team. Does a great job of getting hustle buckets and extra possessions. Overall just a solid player that should see a bigger role next season.
Miguel Parra 5’9 PG West Wendover 2021 – The feisty PG saved his best for last. Although he only averaged a little under 8 per game during the season, the diminutive PG exploded in Reno, earning tournament MVP honors while leading West Wendover to the 2A title.
Joshua Valencia 6’3 PF Green Valley Christian 2023 – The massive Valencia was dominant this season for 1A GVC. Obvious reasons why he was missed, smaller class, less competition, etc. Reality is he’s going to be an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on. At 6’3 250 he already a load. Can you imagine if he gets to 6’5 or 6’6? At the end of the day, his production speaks for itself as he averaged nearly 16 and 8 on the year.
Christopher Thacker 6’0 PG Douglas 2021 – Thacker is a sniper that plays up North. Quiet as kept he had a solid year for a Douglas squad that finished below 500. He has a funky game, but a quick release. In addition to averaging nearly 14 per game he also shot 35% from behind the arc.
Andrew Lehmann 5’10 PG South Tahoe 2022 – Lehmann was one of the top shooters up North for a team that finished 16-9. He averaged nearly 17 per game and shot a remarkable 46% from behind the arc as a sophomore. Needless to say, he’s one of the players that I will be evaluating closely over the next few weeks.
