He’s not the tallest player by any stretch of the imagination but he plays the game with a toughness that you love. His ability to push the pace using his end to end speed as well as finishing over and around bigger opponents are all things we like about his game.
Topsail HS Senior Guard Derek Gardner: He’s another player that saw his squad lose one of their leading scorers this season and was called on to pick up the scoring load. His ability to knock down the deep ball is the attribute that has the attention of college coaches without a doubt, he’s efficient and consistent from downtown.
Hoggard HS Senior Guard Sabastian Haidera Sabastian Haidera 6'0" | PG Hoggard | 2020 State NC : He’s picked up interest and offers from programs on the D3 and JUCO levels so far and will be a player that can make an early impact at those programs. His ability to shoot the ball is what catches your attention early on. One attribute that we feel sets him apart from many is his competitiveness. He’s the type of player that seems to player better when they stakes are higher.
Laney HS Junior Guard Makoa Suriago: Stats wise his performances won’t necessarily blow you away, but if you watch him play, you can see that he does plenty of the small things on the court. Getting after it on the defensive end, making the extra pass and making the right play at the right time are all things he does on a consistent basis.
New Hanover Senior Forward Mikai Stanley: A multi sport athlete that will be playing football at WCU, he’s a player that can get it done on the hardwood as well. His ability to score and rebound is clear but also being able to play against taller opponents by using his strength makes him a very valuable player.
South Brunswick HS Senior Guard AJ Rossi: With the loss of the leading scorer from last season due to graduation, his role on the team was huge this year if they wanted to be successful. It was a rough year for the team as they finished 8-17 but he was a bright spot for them as he averaged just under 15 points a night.
