With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2023 Shooting Guards in Dylan Moles, Joey Hart Joey Hart 6'5" | SG Linton-Stockton | 2023 State #214 Nation IN , and Tommy Devine Tommy Devine 6'3" | SG New Albany | 2023 State IN .
Dylan Moles – 5’10 SG 2023 – Greenfield-Central (IN)
Stats: 9.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.2 apg
Thoughts: Moles is a smaller SG with some handles and passing ability. Even though on the shorter side for SGs, he has a real thin and long build. Still think he has a chance to grow a bit more. Best part of his game is his catch-and-3 but has shown at times that he can drive. Hands are always ready to shoot and that is how a SG should play. Needs to play a little more physically to make himself standout more. Still a ton upside to this prospect as he will probably get better and better each year.

– 6’3 SG 2023 – Linton-Stockton (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Joey is an aggressive scoring guard with good size and already has the skills to be a major player. His fundamentals seem to be already an upperclassman level. Very athletic to the rim but can step out and hit the three. His defense is arguably the best part of his game as he is good at judging when to block a shot. Needs to be a little more consistent on his outside shooting but that should come sooner rather than later. This young prospect is a bucket getter and will be a huge factor into Linton’s success for the next 3 years.

– 6’1 SG 2023 – Borden (IN)
Stats: 13.0 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 38% 3pt
Thoughts: Devine has big a frame and good amount of strength for a young guard. Uses his build to bump around to the rim and finishes well. Can play in transition but looks to be better at creating a shot in the halfcourt game. Pretty smart player that knows how and when to score. As a freshman he made All-Conference in the SAC. Even though he is technically a shooting guard, he has the potential to be a combo guard and could even play small forward at times. If he keeps working and improving, the young player has a chance to be a stud come his junior and senior year. His game play is there, just gotta continue to fine-tune some things and maybe look to get teammates involved more. Keep an eye on Tommy.
