With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2023 Point Guards in Bryce Petty Bryce Petty 6'1" | PG Park Tudor | 2023 State IN , Kaden Oliver Kaden Oliver 6'2" | PG Silver Creek | 2023 State IN , and Luke McBride Luke McBride 6'1" | PG Norwell | 2023 State IN .

– 5’11 PG 2023 – Bloomington North (IN)
Stats: 15.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.2 apg
Thoughts: Bryce is a lead guard with some shooting ability. Likes to play off the ball a little but his playing type is clearly a point guard. Passes the ball pretty well and is averaging over 4 assists per game. One of the more underrated parts of his game is his play in transition as he seems to excel in the open court. Very energetic point guard that does not take plays off. Surprisingly converts lots of second chance points and tough layups. Will be interesting to see how his game develops once he starts getting varsity minutes. Has a scoring mentality right now but that could change a little once the competition gets tougher as he will more likely have teammates that will help take some scoring pressure off of him.

– 6’1 PG 2023 – Madison (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Though he may technically be a combo guard, most of Oliver’s success is when he has the ball in his hands. Has a great sense of toughness to his play. He is a really good shooter, knocking down both mid-range and perimeter jumpers. Was taller than most of his fellow freshman point guards and it will be interesting to see if he grows a little more. Plays with a good amount of energy and seems like he enjoys being on the court and balling. Needs to hit the weights more so he can get stronger as his high school career continues. This young point guard has a ton of confidence in him and has a chance to be top guard come his junior year.

– 5’11 PG 2023 – Norwell (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Luke is a solid lead guard who can light it up with his shooting. Is excellent when it comes to catch-and-3s and can shoot it from deep. Pretty tough player but will need to get stronger as his high school career gets going. Couple areas of improvement would be for him to work on setting his feet before he shoots and play at a more controlled pace. Has some solid IQ on both offense and defense. If he continues to work on getting better, he could be one of the best guards in the 2023 class. McBride is a prospect you should probably keep an eye on to see how good of a player he will be by his junior/senior year.
