With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Point Guards in Dorian Harris Dorian Harris 6'0" | PG Merrillville | 2021 State IN , Kolden Vanlandigham Kolden Vanlandigham 6'1" | PG Northeastern | 2021 State IN , and Malik Stanley Malik Stanley 6'0" | PG Warren Central | 2021 State IN .

– 6’0 PG 2021 – Merrillville (IN)
Stats: 6.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.2 apg
Thoughts: Harris is a big guard who can play on and off the ball. Although his primary position is more suited as a PG, he can also play SG and SF as well in almost any offense. Pretty good shooter and can drive well from the top of the key/wing spot. He has a good amount of strength and that will give smaller, opposing defenders lots of fits. As of right now he has to play the PG position but once he starts playing at the next level he will more-than-likely play off the ball more because that is where he excels at. We challenge him this upcoming summer and senior season to work on creating his own shot with the ball. Harris is an interesting prospect.

Northeastern | 2021

– 6’1 PG 2021 – Northeastern (IN)
Stats: 20.7 ppg, 77% FT
Thoughts: The first thing of note to mention is that Kolden has done a good job in upping his scoring from his sophomore to his junior as he went from 15.7 ppg to 20.7 ppg. Really tall PG and does a fantastic job in creating his own jumper. Drives pretty well but really excels in the pull-up game. Looks as though he does a better job in pull-up 3s rather than catch-and-3s. Halfcourt IQ looks to be on point as well. An area of improvement would be his FT % because as a good of a shooter as he is, he needs to be around 85% or better. If you are wanting to see a PG that can flat out ball, keep your eyes on Vanlandigham.
Malik Stanley

Stanley

Warren Central | 2021
State
IN
– 5’11 PG 2021 – Warren Central (IN)
Stats: 21 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.5 apg
Thoughts: Stanley was the loan starter with major varsity experience that returned for Warren Central this year. Did a good job with the pressure of leading a team as he averaged 21 ppg and an impressive 3.5 rpg. Stanley was also a big reason that the Warriors finished with only 6 loses to their record. Stanley is a small, stout guard with a good amount of strength and some good ball skills. He’s pretty quick with the ball at times but is under control with his speed. Just a well, put-together guard that does not really excel in one specific thing. Stanley is just a great package of being good at driving, shooting, and defending.
