The 2023 rankings in North Carolina have made their debut. Here’s a look at some guards to watch in the new rankings from No. 11 - No. 30.

No. 14 Jaylen CurryJaylenCurry6'0" | CGVance | 2023StateNC - Vance

Curry is another prospect in the Vance backcourt with tons of ability in his wheelhouse, especially as a slasher. He put up 11.4 ppg, 5.0 apg, 2.7 rpg and 2.6 spg for the Cougars as a freshman. As their top playmaker, he’s due to make waves as quite the combo guard in the coming years. 

No. 16 Trey HortonTreyHorton6'4" | CGDavidson Day | 2023StateNC - Davidson Day

Horton was a member of the NCISAA 2A State Championship squad that went 30-1 on the season at Davidson Day. With Jackson ThreadgillJacksonThreadgill6'5" | SGDavidson Day | 2020StateNC on the way out, it opens the door for Horton to have a breakout type season in Year 2.

No. 19 Keenan WilkinsKeenanWilkins5'8" | PGHendersonville | 2023StateNC - Hendersonville

Wilkins is a 5-foot-9 guard that plays bigger than his size with the ball in his hands. He was a top player in the rotation alongside Dwight CanadyDwightCanady6'2" | SGHendersonville | 2022NC Jr., putting up 17.9 ppg, 2.9 spg, 2.6 rpg and 1.7 spg in his first year on varsity.
