No. 55 – Charles Crews Charles Crews 6'3" | CG Bayshore Christian | 2021 State FL had quite a debut season for Bayshore Christian after coming over Strawberry Crest. The 6’3″ guard averaged 22.2 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 4.3 APG. Crews recorded a 41-point game against Land O’ Lakes in the 3rd annual , the second-highest total in tournament history. He posted double digits in every game as the Faith Warriors reached the 2A state semifinals before falling to eventual champion Orlando Christian Prep. In that meeting, Crews battled despite facing foul trouble, netting 20 points (6-of-11 from deep) in limited minutes which included four 3’s in the third quarter playing with three fouls. He is a 3-point mechanic (nearly 40 percent on the season, 92 in total – sixth in the state) and a scoring playmaker. IUPUI and Saint Leo have shown interest and I expect him to break out this summer when we get back to basketball.
No. 86 – Dean Gabrelcik Dean Gabrelcik 6'4" | CG East Lake | 2021 State FL is a surefire shooter who battles through pain. Playing with a badly sprained ankle late in the postseason, Gabrelcik was instrumental on the boards, getting second chance buckets for his teammates. He shot around 40 percent from deep (67 on the season, 22nd in the state), averaging 12.4 PPG, 6.1 RPG and 3.1 APG for the Class 6A state semifinalists. The 6’4″ rangy guard had three 24 point games, his high for the year. A true worker, Gabrelcik will boost his stock with improved ballhandling and further muscle to his upper body. He’s on his way. FGCU, UNF and Flagler have shown interest
No. 90 – Alan Cedeno Alan Cedeno 5'10" | CG Fort Myers Canterbury | 2021 State FL has been a superb 3-point shooter for quite some time. The 5’11” guard connected on four or more 3’s in 15 of 30 games this season for Canterbury while totaling 99 3’s, fourth in the state. He averaged 19.8 PPG, 4.7 APG, 3.9 RPG, serving as a true scorer and ballhandling stalworth for the Cougars. He’s someone who will outwork his ranking each and every season. Leaving him open is always a bad idea. Cedeno has drawn interest from Stetson, Mercer, Barry, Chicago, Missouri St. Louis, Division II Coker, NAIA Ave Maria with an offer from NAIA Evangel.
No. 101 – Bryce Johnson Bryce Johnson 6'3" | SG Oldsmar Christian School | 2021 State FL is a dangerous outside touch shooter. From the mid-range or deep, the 6’2″ Lake Nona guard has had some breakout games, including a really strong 26-point and 11-rebound outing against Class 7A state runner-up Sanford Seminole. In that game, Johnson shot 7-of-11 from long range. His stretch shooting will get him long looks from college programs. Take a look at his highlights from summer ball in May playing with Final Chapter.
No. 132 – Jaden Golston Jaden Golston 6'5" | CG Montverde | 2021 State FL was part of a deep 2021 class for Windermere, that can flat out shoot and score. The 6’5″ guard came over from Montverde this season and immediately served as a dangerous 3-point commodity, averaging 10.9 PPG while shooting 40 percent from deep (81 3-pointers, 17th in the state). Golston is a lengthy player who is getting better daily in his all-around game. He had a 25-point game against East Ridge (seven 3’s) and will draw looks from colleges based on that strength alone.
No. 138 – Mikey Shane Mikey Shane 6'0" | CG East Lake | 2021 State FL was pure production this season for Countryside averaging 16.3 PPG and netting double digits in all but three games. The 6’0″ guard had a huge 45-point night against Dixie Hollins where he shot a ridiculous 12-of-17 from 3-point land. Shane creates buckets on his own and can score in bunches from deep or as an attacker. He made 67 3’s on the season which ranked 21st in the state. College programs will love his jumper, point guard skills and high IQ.
No. 173 – Cade Daugherty Cade Daugherty 5'11" | CG South Fort Myers | 2021 State FL proved to be awfully solid for South Fort Myers as a junior captain. He averaged a team-high 15.8 PPG while putting away 85 3’s good for eighth in the state. Daugherty had two 32-point nights, including against Fort Myers, where he hit on 8-of-13 deep balls. He can knock down shots in your face and move the ball around to open up looks for himself and others. Keiser, Florida Southern, Heidelberg and Trine have shown interest in the 5’10” lead guard.
