Justice Owens 5’9 2021 combo guard from Pioneer has steadily improved his floor leadership as well as his play on this team. He handles the ball like a point guard. His facilitation and willingness to distribute the ball is noted. He’s capable of creating his own shot off the dribble, and his decision making has improved over the course of the season. He’s showing signs of being a knock down 3 pt shooter.
Jordan Bright 5’9 2021 pt guard is showing signs that he has the potential to be a guard that can run an offense in the half court effectively. He showed good patience and court vision, while delivering solid passes to teammates for shot opportunities. When he improves his efficiency on the drive, and midrange, he’ll take his game up a notch. He applied good man to man defense.
Brock Susko 6’3 2021 guard Los Altos. A good size guard who caught my attention when he started the game playing point guard. He’s probably a combo right now, but he did show good ball handling skills and passing while running the offense. He drove from different angles, he has a quality mid-range shot, and he hit a 3. He led his team to victory with a game high of 18 pts.
Nico D’Augusta 6’2 2022 guard Los Altos, isn’t talked about much in the 2022 class, but he’s been a solid performer for his team all season. The wiry guard is a slasher with good instincts, and doesn’t need much of an opening to get to the rim. He makes good decisions with the ball, and rarely forces a shot. 9 pts. 2asts, and a stl.
Danny Brathwaite 5’8 2021 Homestead, has good speed and quickness with the ball. His shiftiness allows him to create his own shot, and be effective taking it to the basket from various angles including the baseline. He see’s the floor well, and often made good looking long passes up the court in transition. He also plays with a good level of confidence.
Jadon Clay 6’1 2020 guard for Leigh, was a prospect I hadn’t seen much of. He’s a pass first guard, who takes pleasure in distributing the ball to teammates coming off curls, and screens. He’s alway looking to catch a defender who overplays, so he can get the backdoor pass. He has good offensive moves while driving, a nice stop-n-go move that froze a defender, and he has a mid-range jumper he can score with. 13pts, 5 rebounds.
Holden Kieslich 6’0 2020 guard Willow Glen. He’s quietly putting together a solid senior season for this team.I’ve seen him play a couple of games. He’s been a consistent performer who drives hard to the rim. He’s never caught flat footed, constantly moving without the ball. The lefty shows a nice spin move on the drive and can withstand contact. He had 10 points in his teams victory.
Luka Kise 6’3 2020 wing Leigh. He’s what I call a utility player for this team. He scored 12 points. He showed he could rebound, handle the ball in transition. He’s a good passer, he set solid screens and he defended well.
Jake Skaggs 6’4 2022 wing player brings energy to the court. He’s wiry and active out front on the defense trying to trap opponents. His long wingspan, lateral movement makes it difficult for opponents at times. He’s still working on some things on the offensive end, but he did contribute 9 pts, and 6 rebound with 4 blocks in 3 qtrs. I’ll keep an eye on this one.
Arrish Bhandal 6’9 2021 center for Mitty was a key player in the teams win over rival Bellarmine. His presence on the defensive end made it tough for the Bells to score baskets inside. He was actively going after rebounds and blocks.
Aidan Burke 6’3 2022 wing from Mitty gave the Monarchs good minutes off the bench. He scored 8pts. He had a steal late in the game, and scored a key basket with just minutes left to help secure victory.
