Derrick Walton Jr. was a star point guard from Chandler Park Academy. In fact, a few days ago, he had his jersey retired at his former school. Walton Jr. went on to shine at the University of Michigan. He recently signed a 10 day contract with the Detroit Pistons. This got me thinking, what seniors remind me in some way of the Michigan high school basketball legend? Here's a look at 5 players that do.

Jon Brantley (PG, Brother Rice)

At the end of his career at the University of Michigan, Walton Jr. was a bona fide bucket getter. Brantley is much the same. Give him the ball and some open space, and it's a matter of how and when, not if, he's going to score.

Max Perez (PG, Hudsonville)

Walton Jr. is the type of leader that brings success wherever he's at. Teammates want to follow him. This describes Max Perez exactly. He makes the players around him better.

Jalen Terry (PG, Flint Beecher)

Walton Jr. has always been an explosive player. Both off the dribble and with his first step.
