Austin Huber (Alburnett, 2020)
The 5-10 senior guard has established himself as one of the state’s best shooters, and he knocked down 4 of 8 attempts from behind the arc in the Pirates win over Don Bosco. He keeps the ball high on the catch and has a quick release with smooth, repeatable form. He’s a better shooter off the catch than off the dribble, but is good in both areas.
Jack Moellers (St. James Academy KS, 2020)
A 6-1 guard from Kansas, Moellers put on a show from behind teh arc, going 8-20 from deep en route to 35 points. He shoots it extremely well off the catch, does a nice job coming around screens hard and has his feet squared and ready to shoot.
Jamari Smith (Hempstead, 2021)
Smith is a big wing with good size and length, and outstanding range with beautiful form on his jumper. He was 6-14 from deep, and he’s a confident shooter who is equally adept shooting off the dribble or the catch. At 6-4 and with his length, he can get his shot off whenever he wants, and his release is quick.
Andre Miller (City High, 2021)
A 6-4 junior wing with good size and length, Miller was a bright spot in a blowout loss for the Little Hawks, knocking down 3 of 4 attempts from behind the arc.
Jake Auer (Valley, 2020)
Auer was the focal point of the Linn-Mar game plan, and as such, didn’t have a huge game, going for 13 points on 4-8 shooting _307 3P). He’s got a quick release and is an exceptional shooter off the dribble especially. In addition to his shooting prowess, he dished out 5 assists, showing he’s a combo guard that DII or NAIA schools should be coveting.
Parker Rochford (Edgewood-Colesburg, 2021)
Rochford was playing in just his third game back from a football injury, and he scored 19 points for the Vikings. He’s a big-bodied guard who can score from all three levels, and he’s got a quick release and extended range on his jumper. He was 3-7 from deep.
Jake Beckmann (Xavier, 2020)
Beckmann is streaky, but when he gets it going, he can light up the scoreboard in a hurry. A 5-11 guard, he’s shifty and has quick feet that he uses to create the tiniest bit of separation, then it’s bombs away.
