The annual Wells Fargo Advisors Shootout took place at Cedar Rapids Kennedy last Saturday, with eight games being played. Throughout the week we’ll provide more coverage on the Shootout. In this article, we take a look at the top rebounders from the event.


Reed Stallman (Alburnett, 2021)

Stallman isn't blessed with great size, elite athleticism or tremendous length, but he's incredibly active, has a nose for the ball, great hands and makes good, hard contact on his box outs. That's a recipe for a good rebounder, which is exactly what Stallman is. He pulled down 13 rebounds (5 offensive, 8 defensive) in the Pirates win over Don Bosco.


Sam Somerhalder (St. James Academy KS, 2022)

The 6-6 combo forward from Kansas is an intriguing all-around prospect with his length, size and ability to put the ball on the deck and score. The biggest impact he made in the Thunder's narrow loss to Kennedy, however, was on the glass, where he pulled down 10 rebounds. He's a threat to take it coast-to-coast after pulling down a defensive board.
