- Cypress Woods (12-4) 21-12
- Cypress Park (12-4) 24-10
- Langham Creek (12-4) 17-15
Cypress Lakes had a really slow start to the season but really was a problem in district play. Had a really solid team performance from seniors 6’3 Marcellous Paul and 6’1 Khaliq Mateen. Cypress Woods is a team that is mostly juniors so expect them to make another playoff push next season as well. Cypress Park was in the lead in the conference but went 2-3 in their last 5 games. They are led by PHTX200 Zecheriah Selvage 5’11 senior point guard that currently holds multiple D2 offers and averages 17 points per game and junior 6’4 SG AJ Ferguson who is averaging 13 points per game. Langham Creek is the lone returning playoff team from last season. With senior 6’3 two-guard as their leader PHTX200 RJ Crawford who is averaging 15 points per game. Langham went 12-4 in district play last season and made it to the second round and finished with an 25-12 record.

- Klein (13-3) 20-9
- College Park (12-4) 22-10
- Klein Forest (11-5) 19-10
- The Woodlands (9-7) 19-12
Klein Bearcats have been playing really tough team basketball this season. Anyone of their starters could lead the way. Sound defensive and plays fundamentally, they return back to the playoffs however, they are on a 2 game losing skid right now. College Park is a young bunch that is led by these three guys 6’3 junior Drew Calderon who is averaging 13.6 points per game, 6’1 junior Khi Watkins who is averaging 11.7 points per game, and 6’0 sophomore point guard Ty Buckmon who is averaging 10 points and 3 assists per game. Klein Forest is a known powerhouse who finished second last season at UIL State is looking to make another run. They are led by 6’3 senior guard PHTX200 Daylan Hamilton who is averaging 29.8 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, and 2.3 assists per game. - Aldine Davis (9-5) 23-10
- Spring Dekaney (8-6) 18-16
- Aldine Eisenhower (8-6) 21-11
Spring Westfield is currently ranked 19th in the state of Texas. They are a scrappy team defensively who gets after it and plays smart on the offensive side of the ball as well. led by senior guard PHTX200 6’2 Lonzo Rand who is averaging 14.8 points per game and sophomore forward 6’5 Willie Williams who is averaging 11.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Aldine Davis is another tough defensive team that has a really strong starting core. They are also a big team average size of 6’4 for a public high school is not common. They will punish teams physically. Spring Dekaney was a team who I stated at the beginning of the season was a sleeper in this district as they are led by David Cattell a 6’2 combo-guard that is averaging 15.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game. He has had 4 double-doubles on the season so far and multiple D3 offers. Aldine Eisenhower who is led by PHTX100 Patrick Punch a 6’5 small-forward who is averaging 19.5 points per game.

- Cypress Fair (14-2) 24-8
- Cypress Creek (13-3) 24-11
- Jersey Village (11-5) 20-12
Spring Branch Memorial has had a great season. They were a favorite coming in and did everything they were expected to do led by a tough senior class here are two of their top prospects PHTX200 Ethan Taylor a 6’5 two-guard who is averaging 16.7 points per game he is committed to play basketball with the Air Force Academy, and PHTX200 Grayson Buehler a 6’7 forward-center who is averaging 10 points and 8 rebounds per game and is committed to Dallas Baptist an NCAA D2 school. Cy-Fair was led by transfer senior PHTX200 Evan Butts a 6’1 -guard who is averaging 15.8 points per game and he has a strap on him. Cypress Creek has an NCAA D1 signee in PHTX200 Nate Martin a 6’8 big who has been healthy and imposing his will lately for the Cougars, he is committed to Texas State University. Jersey Village has a really interesting story they haven’t been to the playoffs in 20 years and haven’t had a basketball scholarship athlete in 20 years either, they were led by PHTX200 Davion Coleman a 6’1 point who is averaging 23.9 points per game and is committed to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) an NCAA D1 school.

- Sam Houston (11-3) 23-8
- Lamar (11-3) 19-14
- Westbury (9-5) 21-12
Bellaire is a really solid team that plays great team basketball. They don’t have a big standout player on their team but they are tough defensively. Sam Houston is a known powerhouse in the HISD for the past couple of years. They have had solid contributions from these two prospects in 6’0 senior guard Jerrick Baines who is averaging 13.7 points and 6’1 sophomore point PHTX50 Cam Amboree who is averaging 13 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game. Lamar Texans are led by 6’8 junior small forward PHTX100 Sir Isaac Herron who leads his team in almost every statistical category, he is averaging a district high of 17 points per game. Westbury has two junior guards who are uber quick in Tre’Von and Tre’Shon Clay who has helped pace the way for them this season.

- #14 Morton Ranch (12-0) 24-8
- Katy (7-5) 18-13
- Katy Tompkins (6-6) 12-18
- Katy Mayde Creek (5-7) 20-17
Morton Ranch Mavericks come in ranked 14th in the state. They have been the district champs for back-to-back-to-back seasons. Led by senior point that is a Baylor University signee in PHTX200 LJ Cryer who is averaging 34.9 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.7 steals per game. They also have some other really good prospects on their squad as well that Colleges need to get to know. Katy Tigers played really solid this season and was led by sophomore guard Dayvaughn Froe a 6’2 guard that was very tough for them this season. Katy Tompkins has been plagued with injuries this season but has played well enough to get a third-place finish in the district. Mayde Creek is a tough team that plays their best basketball against teams that are held at a higher esteem, so don’t be surprised if they beat some teams led by senior guard that is committed to Midwestern State University in PHTX200 Rommell Williams who is averaging 18.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game.

- Fort Bend Travis (13-1) / 29-6
- Fort Bend Ridge Point (11-3) / 25-9
- Fort Bend Bush (10-4) / 23-12
- Fort Bend Elkins (8-6) / 20-13
Fort Bend Travis was the district champs and was led by 6’0 senior point guard PHTX200 Justin Hill who is unsigned and is a top prospect in the Greater Houston area is averaging 22.6 points per game. Ridge Point Panthers was led by Foluwaso Fashoro a 6’4 forward is averaging 13.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Bush was my predicted team to win this district but they fell short, but they are still not a team to be slept on during this playoff run. Led by 5’11 senior point guard DJ Stewart who has the opportunity to lead his team very far. Elkins had a good season this year and has been led by 6’5 junior wing Joshua Fanuiel who is averaging 16.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

- #8 Beaumont United (14-0) / 31-2
- #12 North Shore (11-3) / 30-5
- West Brook (9-5) / 25-10
- Channelview (8-6) / 12-13
I predicted this district to a tee. Beaumont United comes in ranked 8th in the state and has a tough core of guys but they were led by Lamar University signee 6’0 senior point PHTX200 Kasen Harrison who is averaging 12.4 points and 2.3 steals per game. North Shore Mustangs is ranked 12th in the state and made it to UIL final four last season and looks to make another run this year being led by senior point PHTX200 Joshua Cooper stands 6’0 and is averaging 12.1 points and 3.8 assists per game. He is committed to Angelina College an NJCAA RegionXIV member. Beaumont Westbrook has been solid all season long and is a tough game for anyone as they play as a unit. Channelview was the sleeper team that I predicted to get that final spot returning a young core from last season I knew they would do just enough to get in.

- Pasadena Dobie (10-6) / 14-14
Summer Creek is your district champs and also is ranked 7th in the state. They received great contributions from the entire team but the one player to highlight from them is junior guard PHTX100 Javon Jackson who checks in at 6’1 and is averaging 17.5 points per game. Atascocita is currently ranked 10th in the state and has played really solid team ball as well with alternating standouts of 6’2 senior guard PHTX200 Dylan Dawson who is a signee of Texas State University and is averaging 12 points per game and rising 6’2 junior point in PHTX100 Kaleb Stewart 6’2 PG / 2021 / Atascocita is averaging 13 points per game. Kingwood has been a really solid bunch that plays team basketball with leaders in 6’0 junior guard Billy Gould and 6’4 senior forward in Walker Blaine. Pasadena Dobie has a solid prospect who leads the way for them in 6’1 senior guard Marquice Scott who averages 13 points per game for them.

- George Ranch (11-3) / 19-13

- Alief Hastings (10-4) 21-10
Alief Elsik had a strong season in district play. They were led by 6’7 senior forward Michael Imariagbe who averages 10.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. George Ranch who made a deep push in the playoffs last season are much younger this year but may shock some teams, they were led by the junior duo in Ori Limbrick and Julian Camper. Pearland was at one point the hottest team playing but once they faced that first district loss everyone else started to get in on the action and giving them fits. They are a solid team that is led by senior guard Jordan Maxwell who is averaging 10.6 points per game. Alief Hastings has the leading scorer in the district in rising 5’11 junior guard Peter McKey who is averaging 21.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.7 steals per game.
