Obi Agbim – Rangeview
Agbim is a player that has gotten into a zone for the No. 1 team in the land and he does a bit of everything, in Tuesday’s game that was on full display.
There was a point in time that they said all that Agbim could do was jump. Boy were they wrong. Agbim is all of a sudden leading the team in points at 11.8 a game and he exploded for 34 points on Tuesday going 14-16 from the field as well as 6-6 from beyond the arc. Rangeview cruised to a victory as he had a solid inside-out game with dunks, finishes at the rim and going Supernova from the 3-point line and he is opening up a different layer to this Rangeview team when he has nights like this.
Jeremiah Warren – Hinkley
Hinkley picked up another win on Tuesday over Westminster and they went through the team’s leading scorer to lead the way yet again. Warren made sure that he came out aggressive in the game. He controlled the pace, attacked in spots and also found holes in the defense for open looks and sunk them. He finished with 23 points in their convincing win and it was his work from beyond the arc that really stood out. He went 5-8 from the 3-point line and he also had five rebounds and three assists as well in the game.
Lucas Moerman – Doherty
It has been a while since we have talked about him, but that is only because Doherty has been grinding out some very close and low scoring games. He is still having a great year nonetheless. The Air Force commit put up another solid game when he had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds and I have already deemed him as who I feel is the best interior defender in the state that I have seen from the last two season. He continues to prove my point. He had five blocks in the game and made things extremely difficult for opposing players to get a good look at the rim. When he is going on both sides of the court this Doherty team is at their best and tough to beat. He did everything that he could in a crosstown matchup against Fountain Fort-Carson.
Ladorian Havard – Erie
Erie got by a really good and scrappy Windsor team on Tuesday and it was behind their senior wing that helped them lead the way. He finished with season high 25-points to ensure the 77-74 victory. He was efficient in his efforts as he went 11-16 from the field and mostly everything that he did was inside of the paint or in transition. He used his strength and size and was physical with Windsor with a few easy baskets on putbacks as he had 13 rebounds in the game as well. Really good game for him and a player to keep an eye on that is not having a bad season.
Riker Cisarik – Highlands Ranch
Highlands Ranch does not show too much, but when you do, you make sure that you capture it. In Highlands Ranch’s 49-48 win over Ponderosa, it was their senior forward that led the way as he had more than half of the team’s points. He finished with 25 points in the game and used all of his 6’9 frame to make sure that he got the best on them. He is also a great rebounder that is averaging close to double-digits there and his work on the boards as well as getting to his spots was a difference in the game.
Sam Howery – St. Mary’s
One of the best scorers in the entire state is only a sophomore down at St. Mary’s and he means business. Howery put together another big scoring game when he was able to drop 28 points against La Junta in a very high-scoring affair. His teammate Luke Stockelman put up 26 and their leading scorer played well alongside him by affecting the game in every single way that he could. His shot was not falling to he made sure to get out on the break, cut without the ball, get to the rim and also do all of the dorty work. Howery finished with a game-high in points (28), assists (13), rebounds(9) and also had the high in steals (5). This seemed to just be another day in the office for the youngster that is having another sensational year.
