Multiple players have been showing out throughout their high school season and look to capture the attention of college coaches. Here are some of the standouts from this season (Part 2 of 2):
(Listed Alphabetically)
Kai Johnson, 2020, Highland
Another young player who stepped up for the Bulldogs all season, the combo guard is a name to look out for in the near future. The 6’1 guard averaged 11 points, 2.3 assist and 3.3 rebounds a game. Johnson can let it fly and scorch the net as he led the league with 70 3-pointers made. A player whose game will polish nicely if worked on consistently, Kai can be a force on both ends of the court.
Marcus Hill, 2022, Highland
A high IQ player, Hill’s game is much more mature for his age. The sophomore has been tremendous for the Bulldogs all season. The 5’11 guard has played at a high-level leading the league in assists with 5 a game to go along with 16 points per game, 4 rebounds and 1.7 steals. Hill’s game will continue to get better as he looks to keep the winning tradition alive at Highland.
Nolan Boffman, 2020, Paraclete
After having a stellar junior season leading the team in steal, 2.3, while averaging 13.6 PPG, 2.1 APG, 3.2 RPG, Boffman was awarded second-team honors. The senior captain has had a phenomenal high school season for the Spirits. The 6’2 guard does it all on both ends of the court. He has made major improvements in his game and looks to continue to carry Paraclete deep into the playoffs. This is a guard who will do the little things for the team to win.
Samuel Caldwell, 2021, Palmdale
Only a junior, Caldwell looks to continue to build a name for himself. This season, Caldwell leads the Falcons with 18 points per game, ending the regular season with just above 500 points in 28 games played. The scoring guard will continue to develop and be an even more playmaker for Palmdale next season.
Stanford Harmon, 2021, Palmdale
Only a junior, Harmon has put up impressive numbers. Although he only averaged 6.4 points a game, the big man snatched 7.7 rebounds while blocking 4.2 shots a game. Listed at 6’5, if Harmon developed on the offensive end, it will be a scary sight for the opposing big man.
