Here are my top 5 programs plus 6 to watch with top-notch freshman playing on the Fr, JV or Varsity already. Some have unreal depth and some just have a few studs that can change a program quickly.
1. Ironwood
-They already have four starting on JV and seven who play including Julius Williams, Jordan Kuac, Adonis Thomas and Jamal Dean. Some of them will be huge factors next year.
2. South Mountain
-Another DEEP group of talent including Masaiah Binford, Shane Williams, Quaryon Scott and Christopher Arviso. They play freshman and JV ball. Like Ironwood, the varsity is so good that their is no room currently. They will make noise in the next few years.
3. St. Mary’s
-One of the top freshman already getting heavy minutes in Jason Fontenet Jr plus JV stud Vince Delano and big man Seydou Tambuora, who will play next year.
4. Perry
-Like Fontenet Jr, one of the top freshman getting heavy minutes is at Perry with Cody Williams. They also have Kevin Patton Jr, who missed almost the entire year with an injury but he will be a good one. Those two should dominate the next few years in the East Valley.
5. Brophy Prep
-They have three studs on FR/JV with Connor Fitzgerald, Conner Ivy and Malcolm Smith and one on varsity for only the 2nd time ever under Coach Hooten with Arman Madi.
5 others to look out for:
1. Pinnacle-Royce Ramos, Duece Robinson, Ashton Reese and Bryce Ford.
2. Cesar Chavez-Tru Washington and Davion Butler.
3. Estrella Foothills-Noah Amenhauser and Cooper Vanderhei.
4. Basha–Landon Schumaker and Ty Sandoval.
5. Centennial–Emery Young, Cristian Dupree and Zac Engels.
6. Valley Vista-Aadem Isai, CJ Werner and Terrel Doxie.
