Honorable Mentions: Preston Kellog, Dylan Holston, Teddy Prochazka, Gage Dengel
15. Jace Cooper Jr. – 6’0 – Class of 2020 (10.5 ppg)
Cooper is a talented football player that holds multiple offers to play at the next level. For now, he is holding down the paint for the Omaha Northwest Huskies. Cooper is undersized for the post positon, but is a good athlete with speed and vertical ability. He fights for offensive rebounds, with over half of his 7.3 rebounds per game coming on the offensive glass. Cooper is aggressive attacking the rim offensively and plays with great energy.
14. Deng Diew – 6’7 – Class of 2020 (6.7 ppg)
Diew is a strong post with a good base and long arms. He works hard to get into position defensively and contest shots. Offensively, his game is still raw, but he can finish around the rim and is shooting 52% this season. Deng doesn’t wow you with his rebound numbers, but he is difficult to get around and he does a good job keeping his matchup off the glass.
13. Evan Decker – 6’3 – Class of 2020 (7.4 ppg)
Decker is a forward that can play inside and out. Offensive, he seems more comfortable attacking from the perimeter and stretching the floor. However, Decker can get physical on defense and on the glass. He has registered double digit rebounds four times this season and is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game.
12. Graham Cassoutt – 6’6 – Class of 2021 (10.3 ppg)
Cassoutt is a long and skilled shooter. He is very efficient, shooting 42% on three point attempt and 63% on two point attempts. Cassoutt has soft touch and good footwork in the post. He uses his length to rebound and runs the floor well in transition.
11. Trevor Albert – 6’9 – Class of 2020 (11.9 ppg)
Albert is having a breakout season after playing very sparingly in his junior year. The senior big man stretches the floor and makes 2.4 three point shots per game on 42% shooting from deep. Albert protects the rim defensively, blocking 2.7 shots per game. His ability to space the floor offensively and clog the paint defensively has made him an impact player this season.
10. Lam Kuang – 6’5 – Class of 2022 (12.4 ppg)
Kuang is a very skilled offensive player. He can score from every level and can create shots for himself. Lam is a strong ball handler. He can take bigger matchups off the dribble and score off steps backs and pull ups. Against smaller matchups he can use his size, footwork, and touch to score around the rim. Kuang showed flashes of shot blocking ability early in the season and is averaging 4.4 rebound per game.
9. Tyler Sandoval – 6’8 – Class off 2021 (3.8 ppg)
Sandoval has had an up and down season and has struggled to find his place at times on the talent Millard North Mustangs team. This doesn’t take away from the talent and potential that Sandoval has. Coming off the bench and playing limited minutes, Sandoval has still managed to pull in 4 rebound per game. He doesn’t get many looks, averaging less than 3 shot attempts per contest, but he has the ability to stretch the floor and get out in transition. Sandoval will have a better chance to show off his skill during the summer.
8. RaShawn McNeal-Lee – 6’5 – Class 2020 (7.1 ppg)
McNeal-Lee is a physical and high effort interior presence. He out muscles opponents around the rim to secure 6.2 rebounds per game. RaShawn’s effort carries over to the offense end where he works hard for good position, follows his misses, and finishes through contact. McNeal-Lee is a nightmare to matchup with and a big part of Omaha South’s success.
