Chase Harrison, junior, Madison:
Harrison was the hero when he connected on a three-point buzzer-beater to put down Lebo, the #4 team in 1A last weekend. He averages about 11 points per contest, but he scored 20 of Madison’s 37 points that night. He followed that up with 9 in a win against Mission Valley to help #3 Madison preserve its 15-0 mark.
Jarek Clark, senior, Silver Lake:
Clark has had some big scoring outputs this season, including 27 against Wabaunsee and 22 vs. Council Grove. He went off for 29 Tuesday in a losing effort against Osage City. He is currently averaging 17.2 for the Eagles.
Bryce Clements, senior, Jefferson West:
Clements often plays a supportive role to other top scorers for the Tigers. But in Tuesday’s win over Perry-Lecompton, it was Clements’ turn to carry the mail. He popped for 21, his second 20-plus point effort on the season. The 6-foot-3 senior is averaging 13.0 and 7.1 rebounds a game.
Jaxson Pope, senior, McClouth:
The 6-foot-8 Pope went off for 29 points in a win over West Franklin. One of the tallest players in the region, he averages 17.7 points and 10.2 boards.
Camden Liebau, sophomore, Chapman:
In his first start, he hit an unheard of nine three pointers to score 29 points in win over Holton.
