To earn a trip to the 2020 4A State Tournament, each of the 16 teams in the West Central/Southwest 4A Boys District Basketball Tournament must win two games before losing two games.

After opening-round action on Wednesday, eight teams are one step closer.

The Auburn Trojans took the first step with a 62-48 victory over Kennedy Catholic in the first-round on February 12. Earlier in the week, the Trojans captured the Olympic Division of the 4A North Puget Sound League by beating Federal Way in a tie-breaker. They then earned the #1 seed from the NPSL into the District Tournament by defeating Kentwood- the Cascade Division Champion.
