The first half was a defensive battle for both teams but Pinecrest would find their offense in the 2nd half, scoring the ball well especially In the 3rd, to get the win for the Tournament Championship.
Bradlee Haskell has solidified himself as a D1 PG! He’s not a name that you will hear about consistently as a top PG in the state but he’s not far behind the big name guys at all. He has a very high IQ for the game and can facilitate just as well as he can score the ball. Constantly on the attack but always under control, he’s one of those players that a college coach will love to have.
Pinecrest HS Sophomore Wing Sophomore Guard Kelvyn Harrington is a sharpshooter! He caught fire in the fourth quarter knocking down three treys and finishing with five treys overall. It seemed as if every time his team needed a bucket he stepped up and knocked down big shots.
Richmond County Junior Forward Nygie Stroman is a versatile player! We saw the full offensive package from him in this matchup, showing his ability to bang inside the paint as well as play outside. Late in the game he stepped up and provided some much needed buckets for his squad.
Richmond County Senior Guard Quamir Sivels is back for the Raiders ! He’s known as the shooter for his team but also showed his ability to score off the bounce. Finishing with 16 Points on the night, he will be a player that they will look to in the state tournament to contribute.
Pinecrest HS Sophomore Guard JJ Goins has heart! He only stands at about 5’4 but he plays the game with a ton of energy and heart. Constantly applying pressure on the defensive end of the floor and attacking his defender when he was offense.
