With a goal of playing at the next level, the versatile 6’2 senior captain has made major improvements to all aspects of his game to prove his capabilities.
From playing limited minutes as a freshman to being the leader and commanding the point guard position for a team with a rich basketball tradition, Boffman’s game had to mature quickly for the team to reach further success. After earning 2nd team All Gold Coast honors as a junior, Nolan was not satisfied as he got even better throughout his senior season.
Although Paraclete did not qualify for the playoffs this season, many of those losses being “super close games”, the senior gave everything he had every game “leading the team in multiple statistical categories and everyone recognized my game”, Boffman said. As a team, “this is one of the best teams, we were super close together”.
As a true point guard, being able to share the ball with teammates is just as important as scoring for Boffman, Given his ability to shoot the ball and get to the rim, Nolan has displayed the potential to see the play before it happens and have a great feel for the game, an aspect of his game he believes “will help him succeed at the next level”, Boffman said.
With a developed high school resume, Nolan indicated that he is keeping his options open to any school who will give him the opportunity to further his student-athlete career, even considering a Post Grad year, because “at the end of the day, education matters the most”, Boffman said. With interest from “Whitman, Lake Forest College, and Lewis and Clark”, the dynamic guard hopes for a chance at a school that will help him reach higher “goals of playing overseas”.
