As we inch closer and closer towards March, competition is heating up and teams are starting to play their best basketball.  Across the state of Wisconsin, plenty of prospects came up with big performances last week.

Tyrese Hunter -- Racine St. Catherine's -- G

One of the best performances of the 2019-20 season now belongs to Hunter. On Friday, the 5-foot-11 guard guided Racine St. Catherine's to a huge home victory over Dominican. Hunter scored 41 points on nine made three-pointers. The guard has been frequently mentioned as a player of the week candidate, but with the type of game he had last week, Hunter deserves another nomination.

Nate Abel -- Beaver Dam -- PG

Abel is a sleeper prospect that is having an outstanding junior season. The 6-foot point guard has consistently put up big-time scoring numbers. On Saturday, Abel scored a career-high 40 points in Beaver Dam's 79-58 victory over Port Washington.

Expect Abel to continue lighting up the scoreboard into the playoffs.

Luke Haertle -- Lake Country Lutheran -- SG

Lake Country Lutheran continues to win
