A UIL 5A Region III Playoff 1st Rd match-up between Fort Bend Hightower and Houston Sharpstown.
The game started off very competitive as both teams were going at each other. The defensive intensity never dropped from the Canes as they kept applying pressure and began to bust the pipes of the Apollo’s in the second quarter. The canes hot shooting continued on into the third quarter of the game and capitalized on every single turnover in the quarter. This game was a highly anticipated match-up that held over 1,000 spectators. It also had over 7 different universities represented at the game as well.

Josh is long and athletic forward. Rebounded the ball well this game but couldn’t get the ball to fall in the rim. He finished with 6 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. He shot 1/10 from the field, 0/4 from deep, and 4/4 from the foul line.

Another athletic player on the roster for the Apollo’s. He is a big receiver on the football field. Very active on the floor and plays with physicality. He was able to get to the rim where he finished very well. Finished the game with 17 points and 5 rebounds. He shot 6/9 from the field, 0/2 from deep, and went 5/7 from the charity stripe.
Fadi Mott 6’1 G | 2020 | Sharpstown
Fadi is like a junkyard dawg as he was able to impose his will on both sides of the ball. He got a lot of paint touches and also made plays for his teammates. The scrappy guard who gets it done. Finished with team-high of 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists. He shot 6/10 from the field, 1/4 from three, and 5/8 from the foul line.

Was the most instrumental player on the floor in the game. A very tough on-ball defender who is scrappy. He plays with one speed offensively but has a nice IQ. A high motor guy who did all the little things that his team needed. Finished with 11 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds. He shot 5/9 from the field and went 1/2 from deep.

This national renowned prospect brought his tool bag to the game. He was able to play with multiple speeds. He was crafty with the ball in his hand and is always a threat when he’s in the game. He gets where he wants when he wants and good luck containing him. He only played three quarters. Finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Shot 9/18 from the floor, 3/6 from behind the arc, and 4/6 from the charity stripe.

Ja was very solid on the defensive side as he altered multiple shots and held down the paint for his team. He also set some solid screens and showed his good hands as he didn’t fumble a single pass that was made to him. He never gave up on any play in the game either. He finished the game with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. He shot 4/9 from the field and went 2/3 from the free-throw line.
