The usually play multiple sports and you might not catch them all out on a circuit but they can play. You often find players that have a different type of motor as well. Here are few standouts in last nights action.
6’8 F Keba Keita (American Heritage High School)
This kid passes the eyeball test. He is big and strong and he is skilled over his left shoulder. Often times he is shooting the ball down into the hoop because he could elevate so well. This late addition to the team makes American Heritage tough to beat. There isn’t another player in 2A that can compete with his size and strength. He had 23 points in a dominating fashion. He is easily a double-double kid that will also block shots. One of the top 2022 kids out there.
6’2 G Ky Brown (Beaver High School)
Ky only had 4 points but he was key factor in an upset win. Ky has great vision and feel for the game. He set some key screens that got some shooters open and had an impressive 8 rebounds. He is that player that will do what it takes to get the job done. Great motor and he is patient and composed under pressure.
6’4 W Tyler Hiatt (Enterprise High School)
16 tough points to knock off one of the favorites to win it all in 2A. Tyler is tough inside and has a nice feel for the game.
6’3 G Seth Justice (Emery High School)
When you’re 6’3 and in 2A you have to it all. Sometimes inside and sometimes outside. Seth really lit it up from the outside as he nailed 6 three-pointers a career high to keep Emery moving. If he continues to shoot this well, teams are in trouble.
6’0 G Dom Burns (Judge Memorial High School)
Although Dom can score he had himself a career night as he scored 29 points and was a big reason Judge was able to hold off the late surging San Juan team. Dom does a little bit of everything but if he shoots and scores like this he can turn into a nice prospect.
