EE Smith Senior Forward Jaylen Siermons: Out of all the players that we saw in the Semis, he probably had the most dominant performance of the night. He used his height advantage take over the paint on both ends of the floor , scoring 20 points and pulling down 12 Rebounds to give his team a chance to pull off the upset. He’s had an up and down year due to injury but will be a player that smaller colleges will look at as he has strength, size at 6’5 and athleticism.
Pine Forest HS Freshman Guard Isaiah Washington: Has a natural gift for scoring the ball, beating his man off the dribble as well as pulling up for the humor at the right time. He’s only scratching the surface of how good he can possibly be but we saw some flashes as he led the team with 24 Points.
Terry Sanford Sophomore Wing Davis Molnar: We saw a more aggressive side of Davis in this game which included a poster dunk in the paint over a defender. He still displayed his ability to shoot the ball but he didn’t for the perimeter shot too often.
Terry Sanford HS Senior Forward Ezemdi Udoh: One of the reasons TS was able to get the win, he used his height to make plays inside the paint offensively and blocks shots on defense. He will be moving on to play football at the college level but for now he’s a valuable piece to the Bulldogs on the court.
EE Smith Freshman Malik Brunson: Provided a nice amount of offense for his team and showed that he will continue to be a contributor for this group in the future. Constantly attacking defenders, forcing them to work on defense and even drawing some fouls which allowed his team to make a run late in the game.
Cape Fear HS Freshman Tremayne Parker: He didn’t have any crazy highlight dunks or plays that you will see online the next day but what we did see from him is some maturity and substance to his game. He knocked down the three point shot early on and also displayed his passing ability, finding teammates and setting them up for easy offense.
