No. 1 / Bryce Thompson | Booker T. Washington | 6’5″ CG
Bryce ThompsonThompson reigns king atop the Oklahoma senior class. The long-standing No. 1 player in the class has continued on a remarkable career as a top-twenty prospect in the country, a Kansas-signee and, most recently, a McDonalds’ All-American. Also, a state title-winner and Gatorade Player of the Year, Thompson’s senior season draws to a crescendo as the top-ranked Hornets inch closer to a second consecutive Gold Ball.
No. 2 / Rondel Walker | Putnam City West | 6’5″ SG
Putnam City West’s all-time leading scorer and steals leader benefited profoundly from his senior summer stint with Texas Titans (EYBL), where he was provided with exposure and skill-improvement as he dueled with dozens of the most talented prospects about the nation. After penning to Oklahoma State with Titans’ teammate, Cade Cunningham (Montverde Academy), the senior set his sights upon an all-time senior campaign at P.C. West.
No. 3 / Trey Phipps | Booker T. Washington | 6’1″ PG
A Sooners signee and state champ, Phipps has reached the pinnacle of outstanding shooting skills since we last ranked him, including a remarkable summer with Oklahoma Run PWP where Phipps claimed the shooting crown for the season.
No. 4 / Sam Godwin | Southmoore | 6’9″ PF
Sam GodwinGodwin has torn through the competition as the SaberCats have held either the No. 1 or No. 2 spot in 6A so far. Godwin has been nothing short of spectacular; hitting a growth spurt rivaled anything but Godwin’s boost of confidence as a catalyst in his success on the hardwood since our last rankings. Godwin signed with Wofford.
No. 5 / Jameson Richardson | Duke | 6’8″ PF
Richardson, who penned to play at Abilene Christian since our last update, bounced about in the top-ten before finally rounding-out the top-five. Richardson most impressed when he showcased his multi-talentedness in the 2019 Tulsa Public Schools Tournament of Champions, where he led the Tigers to a consolation finish.
