Lamontay Daughtery (Mehlville – 2020)
Daughtery is playing some of the best basketball of his career and is starting to produce like the highly ranked prospect he was when he was younger. The 6’6” small forward is beginning to play aggressive putting it on the deck and getting to the cup for scores and making regular trips to the charity stripe where he went 9-12. Quality rebounder that uses his length and quickness on the boards. Defensively he was excellent getting in passing lanes and creating turnovers. He had 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.
Dylan Branson (Mehlville – 2020)
Branson is a thick bodied small forward that has a skilled game. Played quite a bit on the ball where he showed flashes as a passer. Did turn it over some. Crafty player that stuffs the stat sheet. He had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
King Waller (Mehlville – 2020)
Waller is a senior wing that has emerged on our radar over the last few months. Powerfully built two guard that has a nice looking jump shot that he can hit from both mid-range and three. Can also put it on the deck on occasion. Stepped up with 14 points against Curie. He is the x-factor for this team!
Davion Bradford (Mehlville – 2020)
Bradford is a 7 foot center that is headed to Kansas State next season. He has tremendous size and strength. Moves well and has solid footwork. When he gets deep post position it is absolutely over! One aspect he needs to work on is bringing the ball too low on the gather allowing guards to get in for swipes. That hurt him quite a bit in this game. Plus rebounder and is a major shot blocking presence both straight up and coming from the weak side. He had 7 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
Luke Kasubke (Chaminade – 2020)
Kasubke is also headed to Kansas State to play his college basketball. Mostly known as a perimeter shooter he went 3-9 from deep. Good size and should be a floor spacer in the Big 12 down the line for the Wildcats. Would like to see more of the versatility we saw last year. He went for 11 points.
Matteus Case (Chaminade – 2020)
Case has seen his stock rise as a senior. The long and angular two guard had it rolling against O’Fallon. The smooth wing has a sound jump shot that he can knock down from both mid-range and three. Decent ball skills being able to put it on the deck and create. His second jump also got him points on the glass. He had 19 points (6-11 FG).
Tarris Reed (Chaminade – 2022)
Reed is a prospect that continues to see his stock rise both in the state of Missouri and nationally. The 6’8” 2022 power forward has all the tools to be a high-major post. Over the summer he worked out with former Chaminade star Tyler Cook and you can see a lot of similarities in their games. He has an advanced feel scoring on the block with his post positioning. Knows how to take advantage of what the defense is giving him. Quick footwork, seals, and has a soft touch. Hook shots and dunks out of this young big man. Defensively he is a shot blocking presence and a force on the boards. His line against O’Fallon was 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
