Detrick Reeves (Marion – 2020)
This unsigned senior guard was absolutely spectacular going against a duo of high-major guards for Whitney Young. The shooting guard was like a running back attacking the holes in the defense and exploding through them for scores. Combination moves off the dribble were his strength. He got to the rim over and over again showing quite a burst and crisp ball handling. Also got hot from three where he was 4-7 creating his own shot with step backs. Reeves finished with 35 points (12-26 FG) and 9 rebounds.
Makyi Boyce (Marion – 2020)
Boyce was a stat sheet stuffer from the point guard spot. The strong guard is an excellent passer that made some spectacular dishes for assists. He also was effective scoring off the bounce getting to the line. Contributes on the boards well for a guard. He had 13 points 8 rebounds, and 9 assists.
Timothy McDonald (Marion – 2021)
Long and rangy small forward was a presence inside scoring in the paint going 3-3 for his 8 points. Liked what he did on the glass using his quickness and length grabbing 7 boards.
Jayden Forrest (Marion – 2023)
Forrest is a highly ranked freshman guard. The compact combo guard has a thick body. Only took one shot and missed it. Did grab three rebounds. One to watch going forward.
