Here are the top performances from last week:
Boden Skunberg, Jamestown
Skunberg has been on fire in recent weeks and he kept his individual roll going last week against two of the best teams in the WDA. The 6-foot-5 senior guard stuffed the stat sheet in a 93-78 win over Bismarck, scoring 25 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists. He then went on to pile up 49 points on 18-of-26 shooting, while grabbing nine rebounds in an 88-82 loss to Dickinson.
Ty Satter, Fargo Davies
Satter isn’t relied upon to routinely put up huge numbrs for a loaded Fargo Davies team, but he showed last week that he’s more than capable of taking over a game when his number is called. The senior guard drilled 12 3-pointers on his way to a 38 point outburst in a blowout win over Grand Forks Central. He backed that up with 15 points while adding five steals in a win over Fargo Shanley.
Trey Brandt, Beulah
After being ranked in the preseason and struggling out of the gates, Beulah has caught fire and looks like the favorite again in Region 7. Sophomore guard Trey Brandt has been terrific all year and he was awesome in the Miners’ two wins last week, scoring 14 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists in a win over Glen Ullin/Hebron and then dropping 26 points to lead the Miners to win over rival Dickinson Trinity.
Grant Romfo, Langdon/Edmore/Munich
Romfo has been a catalyst for the Cardinals all year long, scoring from all levels on the court, rebounding and defending at a high level. He had his fingerprints all over LEM’s two wins last week, scoring 13 points while playing terrific defense in a 54-40 win over Benson County before notching 24 points in a 65-48 in win over Grafton.
