Here are 8 new faces in the junior class from the AIA that will be joining the upcoming rankings.
John Gaines PG 6’2 Deer Valley
-A super athletic guard has an explosive first step and defends his position. He is a capable 3pt shooter and he will be a huge factor for DV next year.
Jaisheldon Yates PF 6’6 Sunrise Mountain
-A huge post from Mississippi should make waves next year with the loss of a senior stud Tanner Mayer. He is a nimble big man with good hands and a nice shooting touch.
Ravion Hodge SF 6’4 Cesar Chavez
-A long and lean scoring wing could breakout next year for the Champions. He scores it from all three levels and is active defensively.
Jacob Clapper SG 6’4 Desert Edge
-A bigger guard keeps improving his game. He can shoot from mid to the 3pt line and gets high elevation on his shots. A cerebral player who is very strong for position.
Amarei Hunter SG 6’0 Desert Edge
-An athletic defensive guard is a top-notch on-ball defender. He is a quick twitched athlete and can make the 3.
Monta Tyler Jr PG 5’11 Casa Grande
-A scoring small school lead guard can put up points in bunches. He is very fast with the ball in his hands and he may carry his team next year into the playoffs and be a surprise team.
Markes Siekam PF 6’7 Chaparral
-An improving face-up forward can shoot it to the 3pt line plus from mid-range. He rebounds well in area and will be asked to do more next year with the graduation of Josephs.
Noah Dutcher PG 6’2 Cactus Shadows
-A bigger PG can make plays for others and likes getting in the lane with a quicker first step. He is an improving shooter, as he hit seven 3’s in his last two games.
