Kade is another underrated athlete. I call him a Kamakazi jumper. When he leaves his feet, anything is possible. Madsen has wide receiver speed, combined with long jumpers bounce. A one-footed jumper, Madsen can throw down some wicked flushes when he gets a head of steam.
Jacob Sandford 6’4 PF Boulder City (#83) –
Sanford has what I term, oops bounce. Sometimes I don’t think Sanford understands how high he actually gets up. What I love most about his athleticism is that he’s willing to try it. Sanford is a one-footed jumper, which many times can leave you vulnerable in the air. However, he is rarely deterred and will challenge anyone at the rim.
Jhadon Banks 6’5 SF Canyon Springs (#33) –
Banks has what I call professional bounce. He gets off the floor as high as he needs and has great endurance. Once saw him Windmill on top of a random kid after a two-hour practice when all the other players had already headed to the locker rooms.
Mwani Wilkinson 6’6 SF Bishop Gorman (#3) – Special athlete. Wilkinson is one of the top run and jump athletes in the nation. His bounce translates on both ends. He can get out in transition and catch lobs, as well as protect the rim on the defensive end. Wilkinson shows off his elite run and jump ability
Martell Williams 6’2 SG Silverado (#8) –
Williams is a power jumper. Deep gathers then he explodes off the ground. He has a tremendous vertical, which he translates into finishes at the rim. He can get out and catch lobs in transition, however, the most obvious examples of his athletism come when the 6’2 guard decides to drop step dunk on people from the post.
Larry Holmes 6’2 SG Arbor View (#11) –
Underrated athlete. Holmes is such a great shooter that at times his leaping ability gets ignored if that’s possible. He likes to gather and jump off two. When he does he is a creative dunker, that posses fluidity and agility in the air.
Jaxson Pillich 6’4 SF Trinity (#24) (featured image) –
I like to define Pillich as a smooth jumper. He looks so light and effortless when getting off the ground. He is one of the rare two-foot jumpers that has the ability to float in the air. Watch your head anywhere near Pillich as he is known for lobs and TJ’s.
Elijah Jackson 6’0 PG Churchill County (#28) –
Jackson has a ton of wiggle in his bounce. He gets of the floor in a hurry and can finish with power. He has football type bounce, where the combination of his strength and vertical allow him to viciously attack the rim. You can see some of Jackson’s dunks here
Meshack Hawkins 6’0 SG Chaparral (#39) –
Hawkins is another football bounce player. He plays the game like a running back and can explode to the rim. Hawkins posses a tremendous vertical and has the ability to finish at the rim through contact.
Austin Anderson 6’0 SG Centennial (#43) –
Anderson has Volleyball hops. He is just bouncy for no reason. Everything Anderson does, he does with springs. Great lift on his jump shot and he can catch a lob or a TJ. Anderson is primarily a two-footed jumper, who spikes the ball through the hoop.
Felix Reeves 6’5 SF Coronado (#10) –
Elite run and jump athlete. Reeves, can finish in transition and clean up misses with offensive put backs. More of a long jumper than a high jumper, Reeves gets to the rim in a hurry whenever he leaves his feet.
