AS we know, big time players step up in big time games so we want to take a closer look at a few players that will need to put up big performances to help their squad win and advance.
John Paul II Senior Guard Jordan Yarrel: He has a difficult task ahead of him as his team takes on the overall #1 seed in Trinity Christian who has only lost to one team all season. Jordan has the ability to make plays on and off the ball by using his combination of athletic ability and skillset. If they hope to make things interesting , they will need a big time game from him.
Grace Christian Senior Guard Phil Martin Jr: If there is a player that you would want to take into battle with you when you have to go in and pull of an upset, he’s definitely one of those guys. His ability to shoot the three point shot as well as his confidence are attributes that are infectious and can get the team going on a run at any moment.
North Hills Christian 2024 Guard Jayden Harris: They definitely come into this game as the underdog, as they will matchup with the #5 seed Victory Christian. Win or lose, this will be a great opportunity for this young talented prospect to get his feet wet on the state playoff level. Ballhandling, court vision and scoring are all things that you will get from Jayden, who is a prospect with a bright future.
Ravenscroft Senior Guard/Forward Brady O’Connell: The ODU signee will need to come thru big if they hope to pull off the upset over Wesleyan Christian. His combination of size and skillset makes him a tough player to stop once he gets it going, and that’s what his team will need early and often.
Covenant Day School Freshman Guard Ayden Holloway: His team hasn’t necessarily had a great year but he’s been a bright spot night in and night out. He’s averaging about 19 per game this year and has loads of potential.
High Point Christian Senior Guard Landon Sutton: Recently he went for 40 points and has had numerous games with more than 7 made three point shots this season. With his backcourt mate out, he will have to make up the difference and put up some big time numbers to keep his squad in the game tonight.
