Westover HS Senior Forward Traymond Willis-Shaw: This was the type of game that we have been waiting for from him and he showed out. Finishing above the rim and taking advantage of mismatches he would lead all scorers on the night with 30 points.
Westover HS Junior Guard D’Marco Dunn: This was one of the first games this season that we saw him struggle shooting wise early but he made the adjustments needed and played shot the ball much better in the 2nd half. He finished with 25 Points overall but what really got the fans out of their seats was a monster throw down over two opponents that was simply jaw dropping.
Rocky Mount Junior Forward Keeshawn Sliver: Although he is a tremendous player on the football field, he showed that he could get it done on the court as well. Using his strength and athletic ability he was a key for his team to stay competitive as he led with 26 points.
Rocky Mount Freshman Guard Jamal Townsend: We definitely saw some flashes of how good he can possibly be and he will be one to keep a close eye on. He showed some ability to score the ball as well as playing with a nice amount of intensity throughout.
Rocky Mount HS Junior Guard Jackson Thompson: A three point specialist that helped his team to stay in the game with some big buckets in the first half. He moves well without the ball and does a nice job of setting his feet and getting his shot off quickly.
Westover HS Senior Manas Drummond: You can always count on him to provide a nice spark on both ends of the floor and tonight was no different. He got after it on the defensive end and used his speed to help push the tempo for easy transition buckets.
