St. Pauls would grab the momentum going into the half and would keep that rolling to a wide margin win. St. Pauls will hit the road for a matchup with powerhouse Kinston HS this Saturday.
Dixon HS Senior Guard Everett Lewis didn’t have his best day but one thing we liked was that he stayed aggressive throughout. He has a smooth shooting stroke and solid athletic ability that has D3 programs interested.
St. Pauls Junior Forward Will Ford is a high flyer and didn’t waste any time showing his aerial skills. He threw down dunks, blocked shots, and rebounded the ball at a high level.
Dixon HS Junior Guard Logan Hubbard has plenty of the tools that small colleges will love. Solid size and ballhandling for a PG, as well as nice vision and passing ability. On the defensive side of the ball he understands how to use his wingspan to be disruptive, and has a chance to be a really good defender.
St Pauls Sophmore Guard Jeyvian Tatum has plenty of upside and will be one to keep an eye on over the next few years. He strong with the ball, has decent shooting mechanics and a overall nice natural feel for the game.
Dixon HS Junior Guard/Forward Max Bailey provided some early offense for his team as they struggled to get it going early on. He knocked down some shots , finished plays inside and rebounded the ball at a nice rate.
St Pauls Senior Guard Caleb Henderson can score the ball some but where he really made an impact was on the defensive side of the court. Constantly applying pressure which rushed opponents into quick shots and turnovers all while staying out of foul trouble which helped change the momentum for his team.
