Ross Struemph (St. Elizabeth): The 6’8″ 2020 forward scored 46 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in a victory over Calvary Lutheran. The 46 points or the 20 rebounds would be great accomplishments by themselves, but to do it together is really special. The Class 1 All-Stater led SE to a Final Four berth in the state tournament last season.
Zane Hodges (Stoutland): The 2020 guard scored a total of 116 points in last week’s Conway Tournament. The highlight of the weekend came in the fifth place game when he scored a career-high 62 points in a victory over Aurora.
Ryan Kalkbrenner (Trinity Catholic): The 7’0″ Creighton signee put up a triple-double in the Titans’ 66-64 victory over East St. Louis in the featured game of the Alton Shootout in Illinois. Kalkbrenner had 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocked shots against a very talented East St. Louis front line.
Xavier Sykes (Rock Bridge): The 2021 diminutive dynamo was on his game as he led the Bruins to the championship of the Fort Zumwalt North Tournament. The 5’7″ Sykes scored 25 points in the victory over Fort Zumwalt North in the semifinals and a team-high 18 points in a win over Sikeston in the championship game.
Carson Parker (Montgomery County): The 6’8″ 2020 forward led Montgomery County to the championship of the Hermann Tournament. He scored 27 points against St. James in the semifials and 20 more points in the victory over Linn in the championship game. The Columbia College commit has led MC to a 16-2 record so far.
