Leon Bond – 2022 – F – Wauwatosa East
Bond had one of his best performances of the season on Friday. Checking out at the 12-minute mark in the second half, Bond poured in a game-high 26 points. Bond was outstanding on both ends of the floor and did a little bit of everything. The sophomore forward is an exciting transition talent that runs the floor hard and makes exciting plays in the open floor. Bond showcased a little more skill in the half court as well. He’s always been able to handle the ball, but scoring away from the rim is an area he definitely needs to be able to improve upon. A legit Division 1 talent, you can tell Bond just gets it. He doesn’t rely on his athletic ability. He’s a hard worker on the defensive end and turns defense into offense. The sky is the limit for this 6-foot-4 combo forward.
Greg Kemp – 2022 – F – Menomonee Falls
It was a rough night for his team, but Kemp was one of the bright spots. With Falls struggling, Kemp stepped outside his element a little bit and tried to carry his team offensively. A big body who can handle the ball and change direction well for his size, Kemp does a great job of getting downhill and to the bucket. A load with the ball in his hands, defenders have to be willing to take a big hit from Kemp if they’re going to get between him and the rim.
Brian Parzych – 2021 – PG – Wauwatosa East
Parzych had the game under control from the opening tip. The junior guard had 10 points and six assists in limited duty. Parzych always provides leadership and a steady, calming presence on the floor. Parzych put a ton of pressure on the defense all night, getting to the paint, forcing help-side defenders out of position, and hitting cutters underneath the hoop. Parzych may not always be looking for his shot, he’s difficult to defend, because he definitely sells an attacking mindset, constantly putting his head down and probing in the paint. Parzych has a scholarship offer from Northern Michigan and should see plenty of other Division 2 attention come his way during the travel season.
Alex Singleton – 2021 – F – Wauwatosa East
Singleton chipped in with 12 points in Friday’s win. A utility player that does a lot of things on the floor, Singleton is a terrific x-factor for the Red Raiders. Tosa East doesn’t necessarily need to run anything for Singleton, but he can still score via second-chance points, finding soft spots in the defense, and knocking down open triples off dribble penetration. Singleton is undersized, but deceptively athletic and had a nice dunk off two feet in traffic.
Seth Trimble – 2022 – PG – Menomonee Falls
Trimble seemed to get hurt after a bucket, stepping on a Red Raider player’s foot while getting back on defense. That may have slowed his aggressiveness, but Trimble still scored a team-high 17 points. Under strong consideration for the No. 3 spot in Wisconsin’s 2022 class, Trimble is a high-IQ playmaker with takeover ability. The 5-foot-11 sophomore has some freaky athleticism and can play above the rim with ease as a dunker and shot blocker. Trimble has a little bit of three-level scoring ability and is also a pure point guard who can elevate his teammates. By the time all is said and done, I expect him to have a nice offer list, which currently is limited to UW-Milwaukee.
