Rondel Walker | 2020 SG | Putnam City West
Walker displayed one of his best scoring nights Tuesday, essentially removing himself from the Wolverines’ grip while showcasing one of the most diverse offensive arsenals in the state. Walker’s 27-point performance included notable pit-stops as well, including a go-ahead shot from the short corner from the hip to assume a one-point lead in the final minute of regulation; he also sank pivotal free throws in extra innings to keep the Patriots’ hopes alive.
Ashawnti Hunter | 2020 PF | Lawton
Hunter’s 16-point showing may have been the ultimate tipping point for West’s defense; the 6-foot-8 inch post was more than a difficult task. His explosive and lengthy play extended beyond what the Patriots could handle on the inside. His lanky figure and extensive wingspan will surely benefit him as he improves to the next level.
Marty Perry | 2021 PG | Lawton
On a night that felt like everybody was fighting to put the ball in the hoop, Perry appeared to score seamlessly on his way to a 17-point night. A Junior, Perry is among the most competent scorers in the Lawton region from numerous positions from the floor. Perry was especially strong when putting the ball on the hardwood and competing for buckets from the short-to-mid-range of the floor. Of course, Perry’s most obvious tool Tuesday night was his sharpshooting capabilities.
Elijah James | 2022 PG | Putnam City West
Scooter stepped up in big ways Tuesday night on the road en route to a 10-point performance to compliment Walker’s night. He took the ball to the rack and hit a 3-pointer in the third quarter to keep the Patriots in the mix all 32 minutes.
