Carmel: vs Lawrence North 2/6/20
Jackson Jannsen – 5’11 2020 PG: May be on the smaller end but he does a great job in asserting himself in the offense. Had a nice floater and a couple catch-and-3s. Needs to add some more muscle but is a good senior leader for this Carmel squad.
Brian Waddell – 6’5 2021 SF: Might have been the most athletic player on the court in this game. Has a long body with a smooth stroke. A little bit on the skinny side so will need to hit the weight room in the offseason. Player has great potential.
Peter Suder – 6’3 2022 SG: Suder is always hustling it seems. He is really aggressive and doesn’t back down from any player. Had a few key steals and a smooth catch-and-3. For sure is one of the more aggressive players I have seen this year. With only being a sophomore, this prospect is going to be scary good in the next couple years.
Charlie Williams – 6’7 2022 PF: Williams was in foul trouble most of this game but made some nice plays. Had good hook shot and did pretty well against DJ Hughes. For having such a long body, he runs the floor extremely well. Needs to get stronger to help compliment his long frame.
Lawrence North vs Carmel 2/6/20
Tony Perkins – 6’4 2020 SG: Not much to say about Perkins that few don’t already know but this player can ball. Had a good shooting night starting off the game with 7 points on only 3 shot attempts. What really stood out to me is that he posts up really well for a SG. He is also a great leader on the court as well.
DJ Hughes – 6’7 2021 PF: Hughes is a very solid big man. Had a few rebounds and lots of aggressive takes to the rim like his And1 and reverse layup. May just be a tad raw and his jumper may need improvement but I really like his game. This player is a stud in the making.
Shamar Avance – 6’1 2021 PG: This junior PG is a super quick and has a good motor on him. Had nice putback and floater in this game. Defense is also a huge part of his game as he did really well with forcing a few turnovers. Avance is a solid player.
Duane Montgomery – 6’4 2021 PF: Montgomery did not get a whole lot of minutes this game but when he was in he was affective in the post. Might be one of best built players I have seen as he has a huge body frame and is super strong. May need to work on running the floor a little better. Expect him to be a big asset off the bench for North the rest of the season.
