Matthew Adkins is the engine for the CCD offense. He averages nearly 16pts, 6reb, and 5ast per game. He also adds in 3stl per game on the defensive end. One of the things most impressive is the fact that he has a 3.6 assist to turnover ration.
Xaver Smith (2021, 6’6″ G) from Gamble Montessori averages 12pts, 5reb per game. A guard with his size can take over these types of games. It is hard to find a matchup for a player of his size that runs guard. I expect him to get a rhythm early and be aggressive offensively.
West Liberty Salem vs Brookville
Teams did not meet in regular-season play.
Holden Nease (2020 G) averages about 15pts and 4reb per game. He has the ability to heat up, and if he were to take over this game, not too many people would be surprised.
AJ Eller (2021, 5’11 G) leads Brookville in scoring and is similar to Holden in his ability to take over a game. AJ ended the season with seven straight games scoring double digits, including a 33 point performance against Covington.
Lockland vs Ripley
Lockland defeated Ripley 63-53 in regular-season play.
In this Division IV battle, I expect a gritty, fundamental match. Montana Cotrell led all scorers with 27 in the previous matchup. The 2020 G will have to help guide his team to another win to get a spot in the next round.
