Kutcher to take weekend visit
Mount Vernon 2021 guard Keaton Kutcher picked up his first offer from Western Illinois last fall, and could pick up some more here soon.
Kutcher informed Prep Hoops on Friday that he will visit UMKC this weekend for an unofficial visit. UMKC has started showing strong recent interest in Kutcher, and could offer this weekend.
Drake and Northern Iowa continue to show interest while Belmont has also started to express interest in the sharpshooting guard.
In-State Duo to visit Iowa State
Bishop Garrigan 2021 forward Angelo Winkel and Dallas Center-Grimes 2022 guard Cole Glasgow will take unofficial visits to Iowa State this weekend to watch the Cyclones take on Kansas State.
Glasgow is receiving interest from the likes of Drake, Belmont, and South Dakota State in the early stages of his recruitment. He visited Drake earlier this winter.
Winkel doesn’t have any offers yet, but Northern Iowa is showing a good amount of interest. He visited Iowa last fall.
Interest rising for Ellis
Davenport Central 2021 guard Emarion Ellis has one of the highest ceilings in this class.
Ellis’ AAU coach informed Prep Hoops that Colorado St, UMKC, South Dakota State, UNI, and North Dakota are all showing interest in Ellis.
Ellis was mainly a scorer last year, but he’s developed in more areas this season. He’s become a well-rounded player and is starting to make the play right play on offense rather than just looking to score.
Bayless picks up two more JUCO offers
Ankeny 2020 guard Braxton Bayless added two more offers on Saturday.
Kirkwood and Kansas City-Kansas Community College both offered Bayless, per his Twitter. DMACC and Iowa Lakes have also offered Bayless in the past couple of months.
Bayless is a crafty guard with good handle and shot-making ability. He’s averaging 23.2 points per game this season while shooting 46.4 percent from distance.
Bayless is the son of former Iowa State guard, Ron Bayless.
