Reeves has been one of the best contributing underclassmen for North, coming off the bench and scoring buckets for the Panthers. The Prep Hoops OK staff also appeared at one of his J.V. games, where Reeves easily notched 36 points.
“My athleticism and my vision are my best talents,” Reeves said, “with my shooting and defense.”
Reeves consistently was able to convert on 3-point shots from the dribble, while also finishing tough shots in the mid-range and using his finesse around the rim. His skill is-set is rare among young players.
Reeves can go. He has impressive speed, great footwork and rapid rotation, making it difficult to blast by him on defense and even more difficult to stop him with the ball.
He credits his polished skill-set to his work ethic.
“In my free time, I put up a lot of shots,” Reeves said.
Reeves also said he likes to play 2k and Madden in his free time.
“I play the game a lot,” he added.
What you may not know about Reeves is that his talents on the gridiron are just as impressive as they are on the hard-wood — if not, more.
“I’m gonna get some work in football,” Reeves said. “I honestly feel like football may be my better sport.”
Reeves said he wants to play football and basketball in college simultaneously.
“If I get the opportunity to play both, I want to,” he said.
